Description
Dwarf Fortress is a famous fantasy world simulation/management game from Bay 12 Games. This app allows you to play Fortress Mode remotely on your mobile device.
Dwarf Fortress is an open-ended fantasy world simulation/management game from Bay 12 Games, which is in constant development since 2002. In Fortress mode, player indirectly controls a group of dwarves, attempting to construct a successful and wealthy fortress. The game features a highly detailed procedurally generated fantasy world with multiple civilizations and wildlife, realistic geology, weather effects. You will have dozens of different building and items to construct, hundreds of materials, advanced military system, agriculture, sieges and underground monsters, diplomacy and trading.
ATTENTION: Internet connection is required to play. The original game with a plugin (both free) running at your home or on a cloud server will be required, visit mifki.com/df/setup for details. What’s New
Version 3.03
This update fixes a few issues, including missing designation dimensions display and changes to shadow density setting not applied right away. We also added a small border around rough-hewn walls to help them stand out from the surrounding floor in certain situations. The border opacity can be adjusted in settings. Lastly, we made some fixes and improvements to the tileset.
Ratings and Reviews
Surprisingly good experience
The app comes with a very nice alternative touch UI that makes it possible to play dwarf fortress in fortress mode on the iPad without a keyboard. The developer‘s website offers a straightforward explanation of how to set up a docker server running dwarf fortress. Once this is set up, the app connects flawlessly to the server and the fun begins.
However, there is a lot of room for improvements. For example, it is not possible to carefully prepare an embark at the moment. Also, it is not possible to disable the auto-pause on hitting damp stone. Understandably, the most current releases are not supported yet but are supposed to follow once the 0.44.x becomes stable.
I would appreciate additional information about how to secure a dwarf fortress server that is set up to be accessed by the app (e.g. can the app handle key based ssh?).
Support for adventure mode would also be a nice feature for the future.

Ich habe mir die App und das Abo geholt. Bekomme jedoch keinen Zugriff auf den Server. Der Support antwortet auch nicht. Was soll das? Leute geben Geld dafür aus und euch kümmert es nicht! Lasst die Finger davon!
