This version 1.73 for STEPS drive units is capable to communicate with the SC-EM800, SC-E8000, SC-E7000, SC-E6100 display types, EW-EN100 cockpit as well as the SW-EN600-L unit.
Additionally to DU-E80X0 motors, now DU-EP800, DU-E7000, DU-E6XXX and DU-E50X0 drive units are supported too.
The new generation drive units DU-EP801 and DU-E600 as well as its variants RS and CRG are partially supported now
All "motor performance settings" and "special settings" (change of gear type, chainring & smallest rear sprocket size, remaining light time) could be used in the license free version.
Special to DU-E80X0 drive units:
With motor firmware equal or above 4.7.0 it is only possible to set the motor performance settings up to 300% assist ratio and torque to 70Nm.
(with motor firmware 4.2.7 - 4.6.1, the max. assist ratio value could be set 500%)
(with motor firmware 4.2.7 - 4.6.1 AND a valid license key the max. torque could be increased to 75Nm, max. peak power also would be increased then to 550W instead of standard 500W)

Besser geht nicht.
Seit Anfang des Jahres bin ich mit einem Steps E8000 in einem Tourenrad unterwegs. Das Projekt eMaxMobileAppverfolge ich schon viel länger. Mit der Überarbeitung etubeApp von Shimano wurde mir die Möglichkeit genommen, die Lichtfunktion zu deaktivieren. Dies habe ich insbesondere in den Sommermonaten gern genutzt, um mehr Reichweite aus dem Akku zu holen, die ich dringend für meine Radtouren benötige. Die Lichtfunktion konnte ich wieder dauerhaft aktivieren und mit der eMaxMobileApp gleichzeitig die Restbrenndauer nach dem Ende der Unterstützungsleistung durch den Motor auf einen realistischen Wert begrenzen. So erziele ich hoffentlich wieder ähnliche Reichweiten wie mit deaktivierter Lichtfunktion. Gleichzeitig habe ich die angebotene Leistungsanpassung ausprobiert. Ich bin gespannt auf die Ergebnisse hinsichtlich der erzielbaren Reichweite. Alle wichtigen Daten werden mit der App ausgelesen. So hat man z. B. die Akkukapazität und die bereits absolvierten Ladezyklen schnell auf einen Blick parat. Was soll ich sagen … meine anfängliche Skepsis hinsichtlich der Leistungsfähigkeit dieser App wechselte in pure Begeisterung. Alles ist sauber programmiert, die App versteht sich von selbst. Die angebotene Dokumentation auf der Internetseite des Entwicklers ist einzigartig. Der persönliche Support ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Hier kann man nichts falsch machen. Der aufgerufene Preis für diese App ist mehr als gerechtfertigt.

Perfekt und super Support
Ich bin echt begeistert. Nicht nur das man über die App alles nur mögliche einstellen kann, sondern auch die schnelle und fachliche Auskunft vom Support ist super . Dieser hat mir viel Geld eingespart. Nachdem mein Akku sowie das Display nichts mehr sagte, bin ich zu meinem Händler gefahren. Dieser schloss mein Bike an die Diagnose und sagte, der Motor ist defekt und muss getauscht werden. Nachdem ich dem Support das Problem per Mail geschildert habe, kam sofort (ca 1 Stunde später) eine Ferndiagnose mit entsprechender Anleitung. Das Problem war ein Kurzschluss im Kabel. Das ganze war in 30 Minuten mit einem neuen Kabel für 25 Euro gelöst.
Macht weiter so!!!

Vielen Dank für die supernette Rückmeldung. Wir freuen uns riesig dass wir helfen konnten. Leider bieten nur wenige Fahrradhändler einen wirklich guten Service und bemühen sich nicht sonderlich dem Käufer des Fahrrads wirklich zu helfen. Oft ist man selbst (mit etwas Hilfe von uns) deutlich besser dran die Sache selbst in die Hand zu nehmen. Dies spart Nerven, Zeit und Geld. :-)
Grandiose App …
… die App ist völlig selbsterklärend. Alle Änderungen waren in 5 Minuten erledigt & ich bin nun wirklich kein Tekky. Erneute Anpassungen gehen genauso schnell, man hat also völlige Flexibilität. Mit wenigen Eingaben ist alles auch wieder auf den Ursprungszustand zurückgestellt, ein nicht ganz unwichtiges Feature …. Ich hatte zudem im Vorfeld noch ein paar Rückfragen – auch der Service war schnell, superfreundlich und sehr kompetent. Ich bin wirklich begeistert, der Spaß mit dem Bike ist jetzt gleich doppelt so groß => kann die App wirklich wärmstens empfehlen, das Geld ist auch in Inflationszeiten bestens angelegt! 😉
