Please don’t reinvent the wheel

Technically speaking, yes this is a password manager. You can see and edit credentials which are stored on the BeamU smart card. It also offers the necessary integration to fill the forms. But it misses the point why experts advise to use a password manager. Humans basically suck at creating good passwords. That’s why a password manager should take care of this in order to ensure strong and unique passwords (or phrases). This is the absolute minimum requirement for a serious approach on this topic. And if you have a look at the competition (that‘s what most potential users are already used to) this solution just can’t keep up. (notes, groups, custom fields, HIBP integration, Linux support, you name it) Yes, the competition is hard and it took years to reach this maturity level. And I don’t expect that you to go this way. I suggest that you have a talk with some Projects like Bitwarden and some of the KeePass clients around. Or maybe the big ones like 1password if your existing customers get a very good deal.
