FlyTape 2 builds on the principles of the original FlyTape. However, FlyTape 2 is a complete rewrite and has been vastly improved in both features and stability. A love of vintage sounds and character is our thing and FlyTape 2 fits this ethos as a unique take on the features of classic tape.
Named for it's style, performance and user improvisation control, it’s FX can be added to incoming audio signals in many ways "on the fly". Sliders for textured nuances such as noise hiss will allow you to dial in tasteful settings reminiscent of cassette tapes. These also can be automated via midi cc for additional modulation.
FlyTape 2 installs as an iOS AUv3 plugin effect, designed for use within host apps such as Garageband, Beatmaker 3, Cubasis, Audiobus, and more.

Great app, but…
Hold and OPs we have selected are not included in save state??? When I stop the DAW or AUM the FlyTape doesn‘t stop? It should and jump back in accurately on point, IMHO…
Another one I have found, is happening with the buffer being not reset correctly. For Instance: When I‘m in Stutter Hold mode and go to 1/64th and wanna go lower to 1/8th again it doesn‘t do it.
I need to „reset“ the buffer manually, which is sad.
Those three „flaws“ removed and I’ll give a straight 5 Star review, talking all the plusses of the app :-)
It’s bad, it’s really really bad
It’s a preset surfer with a poor choice of presets. No part of the app is usable. This is not a critique. It’s meant as a warning for possible buyers. Even free you shouldn’t download it. The audio quality is bad. The saturation adds a bunch of volume so you can’t just turn it on and off while playing. Also the presets are all too aggressive and oftentimes don’t add any feeling of tape to your audio.
I honestly feel deceived.
