Beschreibung

Fontcase is an app that lets you install custom fonts on iOS and iPadOS.

1) Import fonts from your iCloud Drive or Dropbox and add them to your collection of favorites.

2) Tap on any listed font and you'll get a preview of the characters along with other metadata.

3) When you're done collecting, install your fonts in Settings and they'll be available in other apps, including iWork, to make your documents look better than ever.

Fontcase is completely open source, so your privacy is insured. The app only adds fonts to your settings and does not modify them at all in the process. For more information on why this is important, see the app's Help tab.

Tut was es soll & kommt mit ausführlicher Erklärungen

2024: k.A. ob die App noch gepflegt wird, jedenfalls funktioniert alles wie beschrieben. Mir persönlich hat ein Blogpost eines Entwicklers von Iconfactory geholfen, der auch zu dieser App-Version beigetragen hat (siehe GitHub).
Ich konnte die Schriften bequem über iCloud bzw. die Dateien App importieren (alle natürlich, nicht einzeln) und dann über den in der App sehr gut beschriebenen Weg installieren. Bisher tauchen die Fonts zwar immer noch nicht in der zugehörigen Systemeinstellung auf, sind aber z.B. in Pages einwandfrei sicht- und nutzbar.

Tja, da lob ich mir doch Apple‘s macOS Schriftsammlung App.. Wunderbar einfach statt diesem iOS Rumgef**** 🫣🫨

Best font installer on the iPad

I have tried most font managers on the iPad, also paid ones, and Fontcase is the best. It is easy to use, does not install shady protocols like some others do, and it is free.

I only wish there was an easy way to activate or deactivate fonts without uninstalling or reinstalling the fonts. But this might be a limitation of the iPad at this moment.

Hat bei mir nicht funktioniert

Beim Versuch Schriften zu installieren, kam eine Fehlermeldung, dass die fonts nicht installiert werden können. Ein Löschen der Schriften, war auch nicht möglich. Mit fonteer, hatte ich diese Probleme nicht. Kostet nicht viel und funktioniert super. Schade, diese ist zwar kostenlos, aber für mich nicht nutzbar.

Der Entwickler, Manolo Sanudo, hat darauf hingewiesen, dass die Datenschutzrichtlinien der App den unten stehenden Umgang mit Daten einschließen können. Weitere Informationen findest du in den Datenschutzrichtlinien des Entwicklers.
