Eben eine Slack-Variante
Nach ewigem Hin und Her wurde Hangouts nun eingestellt und Google Meet (Videokonferenzen) und Google Chat (Teamzusammenarbeit) haben übernommen… im Endeffekt handelt es sich eben um die Slack/Teams-Variante von Google Workspace, privat nutzt das niemand!
Unbrauchbar ohne Google Drive!
Neueste Version installiert, immer noch die gleichen Probleme (siehe unten). Verunsichert durch den Erfolg von WhatsApp sieht sich Google nicht in der Lage ein konkurrenzfähiges Produkt zu entwickeln!
Update: Google hat eine besondere Art von Humor. Wenn ich mit G Chrome auf dem iPad aus dem G Menü versuche Chat aufzurufen, erhalte ich die Meldung, dass dieser Browser (G Chrome) nicht unterstützt wird. Als geeigneter Browser wird u.A. G Chrome genannt :-\ Kennt G seine eigenen Apps nicht?
Update: File Selection bietet jetzt zwar endlich Zugriff auf iOS Dateien/Files, kann aber keine einfachen Txt-/ oder Pdf-Dateien importieren/einbinden, ebensowenig wie zip-Files! Unbedingt verbessern! File Selection bietet außer Google Drive keine weitere Möglichkeit andere Quell-/Ablageorte zu wählen, Google Chat ist daher unbrauchbar für User die G Drive nicht haben oder wollen! Für G Entwickler ist scheinbar eine Welt außerhalb von G Drive unvorstellbar ;-)

Chat Fehler
Keine Möglichkeit Nachrichten oder Bilder zurück zurufen. Bilder aus Chat werden in Hangout aber Bilder aus Hangout nicht in Chat angezeigt 👎 dadurch ist ein vernünftiges Kommunizieren unmöglich. Und diese Google Sicherheit tut noch den Todesstoß. Arbeiten am Laptop bestätigen am Handy und wen man es gerade nicht hat oder nutzen darf? Also sucht lieber was besseres oder wartet bis Google es wieder nutzbar macht
