Die Reinkarnation von Tweetbot
Nachdem Space Karen dieses Vogel-Dings kaputt gemacht hat bleibt ja nur Mastodon. Aber als Tweetbot-Nutzer seit gefühlt 1000 Jahren fällt es doch schwer mit anderen Clients zu arbeiten – man ist es einfach anders gewohnt. Mit Ivory kehrt jetzt eine gewohnte App zurück und Mastodon wird sehr gut benutzbar. Die App ist noch nicht fertig, aber Tapbots bleibt ja nicht anderes übrig als sie schnell zu veröffentlichen nachdem ihnen die Geschäftsgrundlage ohne Vorankündigung entzogen wurde. Ivory ist wieder so eine Anwendung wo der Installation ein sofortiges Abo folgte. Tapbots hat eine lange Liste von Features, die noch kommen – man kann sich also auf ständige Neuerungen freuen :-)
Als Nächstes kommt die Mac-Version und damit ist dann quasi alles so wie früher.
Wieder zuhause!
Viele wechseln nach dem Verbot der Drittanbieter Apps gerade sicherlich vom blauen Vogel zu Mastodon. Ich ebenfalls.
Leider gab es keine App, die mich richtig überzeugt hat. Ich war sehr an Tweetbot gewöhnt, habe dies seit fast 12 Jahren genutzt.
Wem es ähnlich geht wird sich in Ivory direkt zuhause fühlen. Einige Dinge sind noch nicht perfekt, aber für eine Early Access Version ist Ivory extrem gut, zumal die Entwickler jetzt einen Zahn zugelegt haben um so schnell wie möglich diese App in den AppStore zu bringen.
Tweetbot für Mastodon
auch wenn es noch keine deutsche Übersetzung der App gibt: wer Tweetbot mochte und zu Mastodon gewechselt ist wird sich mit Ivory direkt heimisch fühlen. Der Abopreis ist zwar deutlich gestiegen, ist aber im normalen Abo meiner Meinung nach in Ordnung, zumindest mir ist ein aufgeräumter Client 1,5 Euro im Monat wert.
Der Entwickler ist kommunikativ und die App wird ja auch stetig weiterentwickelt. Ich war schon früh dabei mit einem TestFlight Slot und die App ist trotz Ausschreibung als „Early Access“ echt schon bestens nutzbar!
