Keka is a full featured file archiver, as easy as it can be.

With Keka you can compress as many files as you want in a bunch of formats. Divide files and protect them with a password is now a kids game. Just drop the files you want to compress to the Keka icon in the Dock or the main window.

Also Keka can extract lots of compressed files, from ZIP and 7Z to RAR archives, even parted ones. Just double click on those files and they will be extracted using Keka, or drop them to the icon in the Dock or the main window.

Compression formats supported:
7Z, ZIP, TAR, GZIP, BZIP2, XZ, LZIP, BROTLI, ZSTD, LRZIP, AAR, WIM, DMG and ISO

Definitiv hilfreich und empfehlenswert

Ich war auf der Suche nach einer einfachen Möglichkeit, eine Datei in mehrere Zip-Files unter 100MB aufzuteilen, ohne erst umständlich das Terminal bemühen zu müssen. Mit Keka kein Problem. Alleine die Liste an unterstützten Formaten und die einfache Anwendung über Drag & Drop zum verpacken und entpacken gefallen sehr.
Die Website von 7zip hat mich auf Keka als Open Source Mac-Alternative verwiesen. Ich habe zuerst die kostenfreie Version ausprobiert, für gut befunden und den Entwickler für seine gute Arbeit unterstützen wollen. Danke (y)

Läuft wunderbar!

Ich hatte für Jahre BetterZIP genutzt. Vor einiger Zeit bin ich auf Keka umgestiegen und bin mit der Enscheidung sehr glücklich. Klasse Support, ständige Verbesserungen. Die Anwendung läuft sehr stabil und verarbeitet alle Archive problemlos. Klare Empfehlung.

Eine Bitte an den Entwickler: Wenn man akutell mehrere Pakete gleichzeitig entpackt, dann laufen die Prozesse gleichzeichtig ab. Es wäre toll, wenn eine Option für eine Warteschlange integrierte werden würde. Sodass man einstellen kann, dass die Prozesse nach einander ausgeführt werden.
