KnowTrail is an amazing application that lets you explore your surroundings by fetching information about places, events and other items of interest that are located near you!
KnowTrail even sports an Offline Mode allowing you to use it when no Internet connection is available. This way, you can use the app in its full extent without paying additional roaming fees!
And make sure to use Reading List whenever you want to save reading for later!
KnowTrail also allows you to access Wikipedia articles in the following languages:

Guter Ansatz, aber noch unausgereift, es wird keine Entfernung zum Ziel angezeigt. Umstellen der Wikisprache nur über InApp kauf, was eigentlich zu den Basisfunktionen zählen sollte. Die Oberfläche ist nur in englisch verfügbar. Umsetzen des Standpunkts für eine spätere Planung ist nicht möglich. Der Downloadradius für Offlineeinträge lässt sich nicht einstellen. Cache und Readinglist lassen sich nicht getrennt verwalten...

Thank you for your valuable feedback! As of version 1.5 KnowTrail shows you the distance in a straight line in two places: Nearby View and Article View. Please also do not forget that the Map View can help you as well.
