In many countries - especially in europe - you will find a special character combination on a license plate that tells you where a car is coming from or gives other informations about the car.
LicensePlate comes with car license plate shortcuts of several countries, from which you can choose very fast and intuitive (see country list below). It shows informations about the region where a car is registered and links to the maps application, so that you can see on the map where the car is coming from and use the maps application to let it show you the way to that specific location. A global full text search or simple search for plate keys is another part of LicensePlate. Once you've spotted a plate you can mark it and build up your collection of plates you've seen on the street.
This application is ideal for longer road trips. Be sure to have an answer when your kids play a License Plate quiz again... and hey, i like that Pub quiz idea...!

Die Optik hat sich in Version 3 deutlich verbessert. Das gäbe fünf Sterne, da die App generell gut ist. Auch die vorherigen Versionen waren schon sehr gut. Die App bietet eine gute Übersicht und eine schnelle Suche. Hat man sich als Hobby das Suchen der Kennzeichen gemacht, ist das "abhaken" auch praktisch gelöst. Auch die Kennzeichen anderer Länder und deren Aufbau werden gut und übersichtlich dargestellt.Wenn da nicht Fehler in der Datenbank wären. Für Deutschland kann ich feststellen, dass die Bundesländer mit Z als Anfangsbuchstaben komplett fehlen. Außerdem sind die Diplomatenkennzeichen nicht aktuell und sie werden erst bei eintippen eines Anfangsbuchstaben auszugsweise angezeigt.Schön wäre noch, wenn in der Kartendarstellung der Ausgabebereich des jeweiligen Kennzeichen farblich dargestellt werden würde. Gerade bei ausländischen Kennzeichen.

… aber seit 7 Jahren nicht aktualisiert! In dieser Zeit sind viele Kennzeichen neu oder wieder eingeführt worden.

Endlich gibts die neue Version. Diese ist deutlich moderner geworden und funktioniert sehr gut. Der von mir gemeldete Bug bei der Suche wurde umgehend behoben.

Hallo,Ich will mich hiermit für diese super App bedanken. So gut wie jedes Mal, wenn ich als Beifahrer im Auto sitze, habe ich die App offen und suche nach neuen Kennzeichen 😄Es gibt nur eine Sache, die mich seit dem Update stört: Könnte man das alte Layout wieder einführen? Oder zumindest eine Möglichkeit geben, das alte zu aktivieren? Ich finde das neue irgendwie so schlicht, so unscheinbar, mir hat das alte eindeutig besser gefallen. Aber das ist wohl Geschmacksache 😀Trotzdem 5 ⭐️ für diese tolle App
