Have a new iPhone 13 Pro, 12 Pro or 2020 iPad Pro with LiDAR sensor? Get this app and try to 3D-scan your house with it! With LiDAR Scanner 3D, making 3D models and exporting them into several formats (USDZ, OBJ, STL, PLY, DXF and LAS) is seamlessly easy.

Note that the scans do not contain colors.

This app needs the LiDAR sensor to create 3D scans.

However, you can create 3D scans also using iPhones and iPads with FaceID (TrueDepth camera) — for that, just download the Heges app (https://hege.sh).

More precision

Super good app! Respect! But more precise measurement if you get closer to objects would be quite essential :)

Thank you! I agree with you that better precision would be nice. However, there is nothing developers can do to improve the mesh detail provided by the LiDAR sensor as of iOS 13.4. The meshes are provided directly by Apple, so we will have to wait for iOS 14 to hopefully see if they will improve the quality.

Good scan but app needs more features.

I would like to use the iPad LiDAR as a cgi tool. My dream would be to get a good point cloud ( app could add more and more new points while scanning to get a denser point cloud) than I would make fotos and video and bring it all in Pftrack.

thank you for your suggestions! Unfortunately, it is impossible to add support for scanning with more precision as of iOS 13.4, because Apple does not allow developers to access the raw LiDAR measurements. My guess is that Apple might make raw LiDAR data available as of iOS 14. If they also provide better mesh resolution for their own ARKit meshes, then I will add support for it into LiDAR Scanner 3D.
