Description
MainzRIDER is the new ridepooling service provided by Mainzer Mobilität. MainzRIDER complements our bus and train services and brings you conveniently and flexibly from A to B. To the benefit of the environment, you share a vehicle with other passengers travelling in a similar direction. MainzRIDER smartly pools various different bookings and adjusts the route in real-time as additional bookings are made.
Simply order your MainzRIDER via the app and we will let you know when and where we will pick you up. Virtual stops - where you can easily get on and off the vehicle - serve as places of departure and destination. The nearest virtual stop is usually no more than 150m walking distance from your departure point. Your MainzRider generally takes 8 to 10 minutes to get to you.
If you have a public transport ticket (e.g. day ticket, group ticket, week ticket, monthly ticket), you travel at particularly favourable prices. Just enter your payment details in the app (credit card or PayPal) and you will be billed automatically after each trip.

Get registered
Right before you take off: book your trip by entering the place of departure and destination (by entering the addresses or moving the map)
Enter the number of people and the public transport tickets available
Confirm the suggested trip
Walk to your pick-up point: board the MainzRIDER and comfortably ride to your destination. You can always view your route in the app.

Genau solche Angebote helfen dabei den Individualverkehr vom Auto auf öffentliche Angebote zu verlagern! Tolle Sache!
Gut, aber noch nicht perfekt!
Die App ist sehr leicht bedienbar und verständlich. Die Kalkulation von Wartezeiten stimmt sehr gut. Die Routenführung und das Navi im Hintergrund sind allerdings noch fehleranfällig und leiten ab und zu in Sackgassen etc. Ansonsten eine super Sache!
Anpassungsstörungen oder Egotrip?
Entweder funktioniert die App nicht den ausgeschriebenen Angeboten entsprechend .....oder es dienen die neuen Elektro-Fahrzeuge lediglich dem Egotrip und der Pressepräsenz der Mainzer Mobilität.
Lächerliche Fahrzeiten und unverständliche Beschränkungen in Örtlichkeiten, dazu kommt die Mitnahme weiterer Fahrgäste sogenanntes Pooling, unzuverlässig und zu keinem Zeitpunkt verlässlich anwendbar.
Die App funktioniert zuverlässig und zeigt sogar 3-5min vor Abholung den Ausfall Fahrt an.
Wie sinnvoll ist denn dieses Angebot von Montag-Freitag zwischen 9-15h nur innerhalb Finthen? Selbst wenn die App die Fahrt anzeigt kommt da niemand und die Fahrt fällt wieder 5min vor Abholung aus.
