THE WALL STORY CAN ALSO BE EXPERIENCED OUTSIDE OF BERLIN!
The Berlin Wall divided a city for decades and fell 30 years ago. Parts of it have barely survived as a memorial.
MauAR does not want this piece of Berlin history to be forgotten by making the division more tangible. Augmented Reality (AR) makes it possible to take you back in time. Look through the camera of your phone and see the Berlin Wall and its history.
THE APP CAN ALSO BE USED OUTSIDE BERLIN
A part of the wall is shown in the place where you are. Also at home. The best visual result is obtained when there is a lot of space, for example outdoors.
WHERE'S THE FORMER EAST OR WEST?
MauAR shows you whether you are in the former east or west. You can see what the course of the wall was like and what gaps it left behind. Your distance to the wall is displayed so that you can experience it with your own eyes.
UNDERSTAND THE STRUCTURE OF THE WALL IN 3D - AT HOME
Use AR to explain the construction of the wall. Switch between the different construction phases. In the original size of the wall you can virtually cross the death strip and change sides.

Experience a new form of narration: the AR Film. Follow our two leading actors through the decades of division. Andreas from East Berlin, Johanna from West Berlin. Take part in important moments. For example, you can see how they experienced the construction of the Wall.
30 YEARS MAUERFALL
The Berlin Wall fell on November 9, 1989. Follow our main characters through the chapters of history. From the Building of the Wall to the Fall of the Wall. The chapters are gradually published - until the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Tip Top
Bis man sich die Storys an-schauen und -hören konnte, hat es eine Weile gedauert, als es aber klappte war es sehr beeindruckend und begeisternd, wie jedes einzelne Detail nach gemacht wurde und zu sehen war. Es war spannend, sich die vielen kleinen einzelnen Geschichten anzuhören, wenn auch die Musik im Hintergrund störte und es schwerer fiel, sich zu konzentrieren.

diese App soll kostenlos sein? Wie geht das bitte... Diese App ist sowas von geil gemacht, interessant und unglaublich gut gestaltet, gesprochen und alles kommt einfach so rüber als säße man in einer Zeitmaschine. Wie kann man süßes kostenlos anbieten? Das freut mich und alle anderen natürlich und zeigt, dass es immer noch Menschen/Institutionen gibt, die aus der Geschichte keinen Profit schlagen wollen und dennoch mit viel Arbeit und Herzblut ein Meisterwerk zaubern und andere damit glücklich machen... Danke für diese super tolle App. Ich freu mich schon auf meine nächste Berlin Tour😍😍😍
Wirklich interessante Geschichtsunterricht
So viele Erinnerung kommen wieder und erhöht in mir das Glücksgefühl des Mauerfalls!
Hoffentlich verstehen die, die die Mauer und ihre Bedrückung brachte und nie das selbst erlebten, welch riesengroßes Glück die empfanden nicht mehr getrennt zu sein!
Geschichte nachvollziehbar, so sollte Geschichtsunterricht sein!
Dann wird die Geschichte verstanden und unvergesslich!

Es freut mich unendlich, dass bei ihnen diese Gefühle und Erinnerungen geweckt werden. Das Wunder des Mauerfalls ist nur verständlich, wenn man sich zurückversetzen kann. Dazu versuche ich diesen technischen Weg.
Zwei Jahre unbezahle Arbeit stecken drin. Der Antrieb bei mindestest einem Menschen nochmal die schrecklichen und die schönen Gefühle zu wecken. Durch das in die Welt tragen dessen, die Geschichte nicht vergessen zu machen.
