MBraille brings you a mobile braille keyboard.
With the free features you can type, edit and send tweets and text messages using contracted or uncontracted English braille.*
With the full version you can also use braille to
- call contacts or telephone numbers
- send email
- do facebook status updates
- add calendar entries
- fire away internet search engine queries
- the text typed is automatically put to clipboard when you switch apps.
- interact with other 3rd party applications
- check spelling
- save and open text files
- sync to dropbox
- use MBraille as third party keyboard
The keyboard is also available as a separate in-app purchase.
MBraille fully support both iPhone/iPod and iPad
An experienced blind MBraille user can easily surpass the sighted typists using the built in virtual keyboard.
*uncontracted Braille is supported and help is available for Arabic, Croatian, Danish, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Norwegian, Polish, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish
UI and Braille are also supported for Czech, Italian, Portuguese, and Slovakian, only help is still missing.
Braille table support exists also for Afrikaans, Estonian and Romanian. Afrikaans support includes contractions.
MBraille supports iPhones, iPod touches and iPads.

Für mich immer noch die beste Breileingabe die es gibt aber keine Kurzschrift
Für mich ist das immer noch die beste. Schrifteingabe Tastatur die es gibt. Ich nutze sie auf meinem derzeitigen iPhone 7 und Tim derzeit aktuellsten iOS 12.2. Ich würde diese App fünf Sterne geben wenn ihr endlich die Kurzschrifteingabe auch für Deutsch und nicht nur für Englisch ein bauen würdet. Denn auch mit der Breil Eingabe von iOS kann man in deutscher Kurzschrift schreiben. Wieso nicht mit dieser super App? Liebe Entwickler Bitte baut auch die deutsche Schrifteingabe ein. Danach gibt’s von mir auf jeden Fall fünf Sterne. Ansonsten wirklich super App
Die beste Erfindung seit der Punktschriftmaschine!
Meine Begeisterung für diese App ist nur schwer in Worte zu fassen! unabhängig von den tollen Möglichkeiten, welche das Iphone mit Siri und VoiceOver bietet, habe ich es bis heute nicht geschafft mit dem iphone so schnell zu schreiben wie es mir früher mit T9 möglich war. Das hat sich heute schlagartig geändert. Ich kann nun endlich auch schnell tippen, wenn ich keine möglichkeit habe mit der Diktierfunktion meinen Text einzusprechen oder in einer lauten Umgebung bin. Es macht unglaublich viel spaß und es klappt auch Super draußen im Straßenlärm. Die Anleitung ist sehr leicht und verständlich geschrieben. Ich möchte diese App. nach meiner ersten Stunde nicht mehr missen und sie ist in der Pro Version jeden Cent wert. 1000 Dank an die entwickler für die tolle Software Perle! Meine Nr. 1 auf dem Homescreen!
