Description
Get insights of BMW electric vehicle, such as i3, mini
mi3 as easy to use diagnostic application shows insights about BMW electric vehicle which can be useful as pre-purchase inspection tool, as well as during regular car usage.
Example of useful features:
- Realtime monitoring of different data sources, not always exposed by on-board system
- Current State of Charge/SoC and State of Health/SoH of EV High Voltage battery
- Charging details in kW, including charts view. Chart data is available in text format locally under Files/BMW EV/charts/
- Different other details, such as Cells temperature and voltages, forecasted range, in the form of min...max
- REX details of usage, if available
- Different OBD adapters are supported via BT/Bluetooth, WiFi and ENET.
- Application can share details with A Better Routeplanner (ABRP) if needed
and supports different BMW cars: BMW i3/s , Mini Cooper SE and more to come.
Requires OBD adapter to work with and to be connected to the car.

BMW i3 must have

In addition to my previous comment, it would be brilliant if we could also find the parameter SoCmax somewhere. You can find the parameter via the ‚secret‘ menu of the car directly, but it is very tedious to access. Thanks again for your efforts.

App signs in flawlessly and displays a number of key figures in real time. Only app I have found so far that does this for the I3 under IOS. Some observations/ suggestions - the screen real estate some times cuts off the values and I haven’t found a way to make them visible under an older iphone 7 - it would be nice to have the current usable battery capacity displayed, even if it is an estimate - it would be nice to be able to create a history graph of some of the values, eg. SoH over time or milage (or both) - I am a little concerned about the data privacy policy, in particular the ability to combine the users identify and location. Not sure why this is necessary. It would be nice to see this develop and I would prefer to pay for the app against more user data pivacy.

I dont have iPhone 7 to try myself but let me check what is yet possible.
History graph is available under Files/mi3/charts folder, as simple text log file, so you can use it elsewhere.
There are serious considerations about data privacy and nothing is shared unless you will have enabled "share data with ABRP service", inside preferences.
Only in this case and only relevant data will be shared with ABRP directly.
Other details are local to you and your phone only.
Hope this explains enough and let me to know if anything else.
Near perfect
This is a perfect little helper for getting deeper into your cars data than DAU level. Nice. The only thing I'm missing is a manual or tooltips to clarify what some of these values mean. Like what is "Cel Res factor"?
