MIDI Memo Recorder simply records and plays any MIDI data - any time, any place. The app's streamlined design makes it quick and easy to store, find, recall, and even email any type of MIDI information - all your synth sounds, Line 6 effect patches, musical inspirations, and more. And with iOS version 9.3 and higher, MIDI files can also be transferred between your mobile device and your computer using iTunes File Sharing.
When the MIDI Memo Recorder app is used in conjunction with the MIDI Mobilizer II and MIDI Mobilizer hardware MIDI interface accessories, it's compatible with every single product equipped with standard 5-pin MIDI connectors. That means literally millions upon millions of keyboards, amplifiers, effects devices, and other types of audio gear throughout the world.
The MIDI Memo Recorder app also serves as the firmware updater for Mobile Keys keyboards, and for the MIDI Mobilizer II and MIDI Mobilizer MIDI interfaces. That means you can always get the latest firmware simply by updating to the current version of the MIDI Memo Recorder app and running it.

Endlich ein mobiler MIDI-Rekorder
Nachdem Apple die Dock-Schnittstelle für Erweiterungen freigegeben hat, gibt es nun solch praktische Hardware/Software-Erweiterungen wie den MIDI Mobilizer von Line 6. Meine Testphase ist zwar noch nicht ganz durch, aber schon jetzt kann ich dieses Tool jedem empfehlen, der mal schnell ohne Computer ein paar dynamische Ideen per MIDI-fähigem E-Piano, E-Drumset oder anderem MIDI-Einspiel-Equipment festhalten will.
Das Setup ist sehr einfach. Innerhalb von Sekunden ist der iPod Touch oder das iPhone aufnahmebereit.
Leider lassen sich die aufgenommenen MIDI-Tracks noch nicht einfach so in Logic Pro reinziehen, da gibt es noch einen SMPTE Fehler. Aber wenn der MIDI-Mobilizer als Einspielquelle am Computer-MIDI-Interface genutzt wird, ist das auch ein kleineres Problem.
Die MIDI MEMO App ist derzeit noch sehr rudimentär gehalten. Da erhoffe ich mir für die Zukunft noch ein paar sequenzerartige Bearbeitungsmöglichkeiten. Auch wäre die Möglichkeit, das MIDI Mobilizer Interface mit anderen Sequenzer Apps nutzen zu können, super. Dann kann man endlich per MIDI-Keyboard auch komplexere Ideen auf dem iPod Touch oder iPhone festhalten und bearbeiten.
Die Preset-Save Funktion habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert, aber dafür hab ich mir das Teil auch nicht besorgt.
Wenn die App noch etwas ausgebaut wird (z.B. Midi-Click, Tempo-Einstellung, Loop-Funktion etc.) gibt es von mir fünf Sterne...
Bitte eine Kaufversion für alle MIDI Devices!
Ich würde gerne bezahlen um die geniale APP mit allen meinen MIDI Geräten benutzen zu können. Danke!
Einfach und funktionell
Der Rekorder macht genau das, was er soll: Start-Stopp mit großen Buttons und Abspielen der aufgenommenen Mididaten. Die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Midi-Mobilizer-interface klappt auch soweit gut.
Leider können keine Mididaten importiert werden, und der Austausch der aufgenommenen Daten geht nicht über itunes. BITTE NOCH EINBAUEN (von mir aus auch in einer kostenpflichtigen Version).
