With this app and with Mio, the Robot, you can discover robotics and coding!
Mio, the Robot is the perfect tool to introduce you to the world of robotics and programming in an easy and fun way.
Thanks to the microphone, infrared sensors and lots of challenging play activities, this robot will turn into your inseparable friend.
The app will allow you to play with the robot in two different ways:
- REAL TIME
In this section, you can command the robot in real time as if you were using a remote control. Mio, the Robot will faithfully execute all your commands (movements, sounds, light effects).
- CODING
In this area, you can arrange commands in sequence, creating actual programming strings and even add conditions. This will help you to train your logical abilities and problem-solving skills.
The app’s graphics are designed for being user friendly and for being used without any difficulty and intuitively by children older than 8 years.
The app communicates with the robot thanks to high-frequency sounds which are associated with commands. Being scarcely audible, the communication will appear to be magical!
Thanks to the microphone, the robot can hear these types of sounds, decode them without any difficulty, and then execute the corresponding commands.

Funktioniert - Tasten gedrückt halten!
Mit meinem IPhone funktioniert die App. Zwar ist die Reaktion des Roboters sehr langsam, so dass man nicht präzise steuern kann - deshalb nur 3 Sterne - und deshalb der Spaßfaktor noch deutlich verbessert werden könnte.
Anfangs gung es vermeintlich auch nicht, man muss aber DIE TASTEN GEDRÜCKT HALTEN, dann kommt irgendwann die Reaktion des Roboters!
App ist besser als erwartet....
....und bei uns funktionieren fast alle Funktionen einwandfrei. Zwar etwas ungenau und mit leichter Zeitverzögerung, für 25 EUR kann man aber auch ernsthaft nicht mehr erwarten!
Bei den meisten 1 Stern Bewertungen sollte man sich auch mal ernsthaft hinterfragen ob man überhaupt verstanden hat, dass die Befehle über akustische Signale übertragen werden oder ob der Roboter überhaupt korrekt zusammengebaut wurde!
