The best practicing app out there

Runs smooth and flawless on my phone. The recording function is one of the best features of it and it comes with the free version. Also all basic functions deployed with the free versions make the app already very useful! So you don’t need to pay to checkout if the app works for you even in a long term. So you can also listen to the recordings a while back. The best thing is that they are grouped to those practices you recorded them to and ordered by date. So if you look for example for improvements in your single strokes (drums) you can scroll through your single stroke practices and through those recordings. Without the app, you have to set up your computer, create a file name, set up mics,... here it’s all done for you with your phone! Saves time that I don’t have! Also what i like is the chat contact to the developers themselves. My clear advice; give it a try if it works for you. I bet it does!

Frequent Crashing

I love the concept of Modacity and used it religiously for around a year and a half, but I’ve stopped using it over the last year because it’s become so unreliable. I’ve been trying to use it again over the past two weeks and it’s still rare that I get through a practice session without crashing. Also, if I don’t completely close it before using CarPlay, my sound is affected (muffled audio, no voice directions). No amount of deleting and reinstalling has helped.

I realize Modacity isn’t a huge company, but considering how massively expensive a lifetime subscription is, one would expect a more stable platform.

Hardly Progress over the last years

The App started very promising, but has hardly developed since.
