Works as promised, but…

The app does exactly what it should do. Setup was easy and the video at the beginning cleared up any questions. However, I miss AR features in the app. If you accidentally move the camera or screen you’ll have trouble aligning the image accurately again. Also there is no option for perspective distortions. Both should be relatively easy to solve it with today’s technology. In this sense I can’t quite understand subscription model and a relatively high price for the app. I don’t see any direct service that I use here.

Hi there! We're going to be launching some awesome new AR features and more in the next couple of weeks. Version 2.0 we're hoping to have out by September. The app is still relatively new, so we're making updates and improvements all the time. The price of the pro subscription in app helps us continue to make these updates and do research and development to make the app better.

That above was my first review. I am going with four stars because i see that as an important feature that got stripped but i gotta be fair: the app works smooth, has great features and UI and the support is super fast and friendly. Was skeptical at first because subscription fee for an app with a single application is quite high but for me it’s definitely worth the money and there really is effort put into this thing :)

Subscription model

Please don’t go down that route! I’d be happy to save up for a few months and then pay 40€ for a software I own. I don’t want to rent a tool that I love, I want to own it and never be afraid if I won’t be able to use it because I’m a very broke person… DO YOU UNDERSTAND?
Don’t make this tool unaffordable please!

Hi there! We would love to make the pro version of the app completely free, however this allows us keep adding and upgrading the app with new features for people that use it! For example we're working on an awesome update right now integrating AR tracking into the app to make it easier to work on projects over multiple days. The app is different than any other tool you buy. For example when you purchase something like a paintbrush, you use the paintbrush until it gets worn out and then you buy a new one. The paintbrush manufacturer does not come to your house and replace your paintbrush every month with new and improved features for the rest of the time. When you purchase the pro version of this app you get every version and update to this app we will ever make. We continuously make updates, improvements, and release new awesome features. It used to be that every year people would need to purchase the new version of a piece of software on CDs and install them on their computers, something like Photoshop would be hundreds of dollars every year. People purchasing the new version of the software every year is what kept the company in business. Now that has changed to the subscription or in ad supported model for most apps. Today, you no longer have to purchase every new version, you just instantly get an update. Also, for most professional artists, the app costs less than a cup of coffee a month for one of the most powerful tools they’ll use in their studio.
