This app gives you digital access to selected exhibitions of the art and natural history collections of the Museum Wiesbaden. You can access these contents at home to find out about exhibits or use the app as a digital curator during your visit to the Museum Wiesbaden in the form of a multimedia guide.
To start with, this app contains selected objects from Ferdinand Wolfgang Nees' Art Nouveau collection as a detailed Curator's Choice with 43 exhibits, a highlight tour and a specially prepared edu tour for younger visitors. The permanent presentation consists of a total of over 500 objects and forms a cross-section of all genres of Art Nouveau.
From the natural history collection they will receive valuable information on selected exhibits. Let us guide you through the themes of colour, form, movement and time.

So gut, dass sie - fast - den Besuch im Museum erspart... 😉
Diese App macht - nachdem ihre „Kinderkrankheiten“ behoben wurden - sehr viel Spaß!
Toll sind die aufwändig produzierten Audioguides und die Hilfe bei der Orientierung in diesem etwas unübersichtlichen Haus (wobei die Farbcodierung nicht immer ganz einfach zuzuordnen bzw. zu unterscheiden ist).
Die Verbindung von Kunst und Natur gelingt wunderbar - die Jugendstilsammlung ist dafür auch prädestiniert.
Schade nur, dass die Bilder zu den Audioguides außerhalb des MuseumsWLANs nicht alle verfügbar sind (z.B. zu Ernst Wilhelm Nay), das erschwert einen unkomplizierten Einsatz z.B. in der Schule.
Auch wäre es toll, wenn die Materialien zu bereits abgelaufenen Sonderausstellungen langfristig verfügbar blieben.
Sehr gelungen ist aber die übersichtliche Struktur, so dass man sich zu Beginn zu jeder Tour einen Überblick alle besprochenen Exponate verschaffen kann.
Fazit: fast so gut, dass sie einen echten Besuch im Museum überflüssig macht... ;-)
Hilfe, nichts geht mehr
Da ist wohl was schief gelaufen bei der Aktualisierung: die Beiträge zur Natur und zum Jugendstil für Kinder sind weg! Und eben ließ sich nicht mal die „curator‘s choice“ öffnen! Hilfe! So ist die App leider völlig unbrauchbar!

Vielen Dank für Ihre Anmerkung. So soll das natürlich nicht sein und wir schlagen folgendes vor: Bitte die App deinstallieren und nochmals laden. Das sollte das Problem mit dem Inhalt beheben.
Einfach nur schlecht
Kein WLAN im Museum, obwohl zig Netze angezeigt werden. Ständige Abstürze des Guides, ab Raum 4 geht dann gar nichts mehr. Dafür bis dato 20 Prozent meines Highspeed-Datenvolumens verbraucht! In Zeiten von Corona wäre die App eigentlich alternativlos, da es keine Audioguides gibt.
