Not very convenient on the iPad

The app locks me out from time to time. To lock-in again I should receive an SMS. However, the iPad can’t receive SMS. It means I have to take out the sim card, put it in a phone, receive the SMS and put the SIM back to the iPad, that cant seriously be the way it should work, right? No option to lock-in with password or so. A noted point is, on my iPad it dosen’t show up how long the purchased mobile data is valid.
