Lots of improvements/fixes in this update: - Improvements to the Audio Recognition Engine. - Level Designer has now been given its own dedicated tab at the top of the level selection screen, as it has proven difficult to find in the instrument list! - Fixed: Note not blinking on incorrect note input. - Fixed: Total time on level completion sometimes shows 1 second more than the correct time due to a rounding error. (Thanks Michael Cuthbert) - Fixed: MIDI input not handling NoteOn(velocity=0) as a NoteOff event, which could be causing issues with MIDI behaviour more broadly. (Thanks Peter Ludbey) - Decreased how long you have to play a non-concert pitch note to calibrate to it. - Increased sensitivity to incorrect notes (you had to play it for a long time before it registered before). - Increase tuning requirements to help reduce misidentified semitone-adjacent notes.

Long-awaited MIDI keyboard support is here! This allows Note Rush to be played silently with headphones - great for group classes or partner lessons. Just plug in your keyboard via a suitable adapter and Note Rush will detect that you're using MIDI automatically! Cables getting in the way? Note Rush now works in landscape mode too! If you've been using Note Rush sideways (a great way to highlight the mapping between the grand staff and piano keys btw!) you can still do this by turning on rotation lock before turning your device. Oh yes, and some further improvements to microphone-based note detection, plus a significant reduction in file size (a hefty 750mb down to a much more reasonable 240mb). - Did you know you can hide the timer in-game by tapping on it? Now, with this update, hiding the timer will also initially hide the results at the end of each game (you can still tap to reveal the results if you wish). Useful for students who work better when not under pressure! - Fixed a note recognition bug where in some cases certain notes would ignore microphone input for several seconds when they first appear. - Improved QR Code rendering and scanning quality on Level Cards (also added Note Rush logo to QR Code). - As usual, a bunch of other minor improvements. This update adds full iPhone X support (now utilising the whole screen). It also fixes a problem that was causing Note Rush to run very slowly on some older devices. (Please let me know if it's still slow!) There are also some further significant improvements to note detection, which should result in snappier, more accurate, gameplay. Enjoy! -Thomas

New: Wrong note penalties! If you play the wrong note, you'll now incur a time penalty. Guessing just became a bad strategy! Don't worry, you can turn it off in settings if you prefer it without penalties. Also, further note recognition improvements, and myriad other tweaks!

A bug that was impacting note detection (severely in some cases) has been fixed in this update! I've also added a quick question about note detection accuracy so I can gauge how well it's working for everyone - please answer it when it pops up. Thanks! Thomas

This version increases the highest detectable note to C7 (concert pitch) which may be necessary for instruments pitched up an octave such as glockenspiele. :)

- Top o' the mornin' to ya! St Patrick's Day theme is here! Available throughout March. - Hide the Timer option - for students who get a little stressed out or distracted by a ticking clock. Just tap the 'x' next to the timer. Tap again to un-hide. - Skip Calibration - for when you want to use concert pitch rather than tuning Note Rush to your instrument. Useful for vocal training, string instruments etc. Other minor improvements: - Bass clef is now rendered correctly. - "Please leave a review" popup has been replaced by a much less obtrusive button that occasionally appears after playing a game. (Reviews really do help others find Note Rush in the app store, so thanks for all the reviews so far!) - Other minor improvements and fixes.
