Design
Obscura squeezes a bunch of powerful features into simple controls anyone can master. The interface balances aesthetics, ergonomics, and intuitiveness. You won’t want to use anything else. Controls can be reached with one thumb, and gestures and haptics combine to create a tactile experience that lets you stay focused on your subject.

Capture Modes & Formats
Obscura captures photos, videos, Live Photos, and portraits. Photos can captured in RAW, ProRAW, HEIC, and JPEG (on supported devices, see http://obscura.camera/compatibility).
Capture images in multiple different aspect ratios, or filters live in camera for a wide variety of styles.

Camera Settings
Obscura gives you control over exposure, focus, white balance, ISO, shutter speed, and flash, with intuitive controls that make you feel in control of your device’s camera.

View Options
Obscura lets you display a grid, a spirit level, a histogram, focus peaking, a focus loupe, and exposure clipping highlights to help you understand every detail of what you’re shooting.

Photo Library

Sehr gut aber…
Ich bin sehr zufrieden, habe schon einige Fotografie-Apps in Verwendung und die Obscura 3 ist die Beste! Nur eine Sache sollte verbessert werden: Die App merkt sich nicht die jeweiligen letzten Einstellungen. Wenn ich bei den Fotoeinstellungen z.B. das Bild-Format 16:9 einstelle und dann die App geschlossen wird, ist nach dem erneuten Öffnen der App das Bild-Format 4:3 eingestellt. Das nervt. Bitte nachbessern, dann 5 Sterne.
Manuell und minimalistisch
Die Obscura 4 App ist eine minimalistisch gestaltete und technisch vielseitige Kamera-App, die u.a. manuelle Einstellungen erlaubt. Ich habe als Obscura 3 Käufer eine Obscura 4 Extra Version erhalten. Die Free-Version kenne ich daher nicht, aber sie ist sicher gut zum Ausprobieren. Die Vollversion von Obscura ist Obscura Ultra und ist im jährlichen Abo zu haben. Obscura bietet eine gute Dokumentation der Einstellungen. Sehr gut ist auch die Haptik, die man differenziert ein- und ausschalten kann.
Der Support des Entwicklers ist sehr freundlich, persönlich und aktiv. Nach Einführung der Version 4 gab es einige Kleinigkeiten, die noch klemmten, die aber inzwischen mit drei oder vier ca. wöchentlichen Updates behoben wurden. Für alle, die Wert auf manuelle Einstellmöglichkeiten und ein sehr aufgeräumtes Design legen ist diese App sehr empfehlenswert.
War einmal gut
Momentan eher schlecht bis sehr schlecht. Und warum kann ich nun meine bezahlte alte Version 2 nicht wieder installieren? Hier besteht soviel Entwicklungsbedarf dass ich so damit nicht mit „arbeiten“ kann und will.
Ich will mein Geld nicht zurück - aber warum soll ich nun für die alte Version noch einmal bezahlen?
Nach langem Testen - mein Fazit: Deinstallieren und in einem Jahr vielleicht noch mal testen und in der Zwischenzeit etwas besseres suchen.
