OKC ist immer noch die beste Dating App. Bei Tinder sehen gefühlt die Männer alle gleich aus, meist wie Fitnessmodels. Kein Wunder, da mir dort der Algorithmus Menschen ja anhand eines „Desirability Score“ vor, also quasi anhand Marktwert. Dass nicht alle das selbe attraktiv finden, ist nicht berücksichtigt. Jemand der wie ich mit dem gängigen Schönheitsideal nix anfangen kann, hat Pech. (Und Männer, die dem Ideal nicht entsprechen, auch.) Okcupid ist viel klüger designt: Hier beantworte ich Fragen zu Themen, die mir wichtig sind, und sehe, was mein Gegenüber dazu denkt. Wenn man wirklich nur Fragen beantwortet, bei denen man die Meinung für ein potentielles Date relevant findet, bekommt man außerdem einen relativ aussagekräftigen %-Wert, der zumindest die Kompatibilität in Werten und Vorlieben aussagt. Du kannst dir so zum Beispiel schon mal etwas nach Menschen filtern, die LGBTQ-freundlich sind oder aber dir bevorzugt Menschen anzeigen lassen, die kinky sind. Als polyamorer Mensch ist außerdem die Option, nach Einstellung zur Monogamie zu filtern, Gold wert.

Das Konzept funktioniert!

Ich hatte der App nach mehrmaligem Installieren und Deinstallieren im Januar noch eine letzte Chance gegeben und ein paar netten Menschen geschrieben - ich war skeptisch, da ich Online-Dating nie vertraut habe, aber seit April muss ich sagen: Touché! Dank dieser App haben mein Freund und ich uns gefunden und sind glücklicher denn je. Wir hätten uns sonst nie im echten Leben kennengelernt und können noch immer nicht fassen, wie gut wir vom Grundwesen zueinander passen. Wer also die Fragen ehrlich beantwortet, ein ernsthaftes Profil schreibt und dem ganzen eine Chance gibt, kann vielleicht auch den passenden Menschen finden - danke OkCupid! Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich eine Erfolgsgeschichte für diese App werden würde.

Gute Idee, aber viele nervige Bugs

Die Idee der App ist super. Man kann anhand der vielen Angaben die man machen kann und der vielen Fragen & Antworten wirklich gut entscheiden ob man ähnliche Interessen/Einstellungen/Absichten usw hat und die „Rahmenbedingungen“ stimmen.

Leider werden die Filter die man einstellt, beispielsweise Altersbegrenzungen, nicht berücksichtigt. Mir werden sowohl Männer angezeigt die 7 Jahre jünger sind als ich, als auch Männer die 15 Jahre älter sind. Beides ist not even close zu dem was ich angegeben habe (1 Jahr jünger bis 10 Jahre älter) Dadurch werden mir leider zu 80-90% Männer angezeigt die so absolut gar nicht das sind nach dem ich suche. Des Weiteren werden mir Männer die mich angeschrieben habe und die ich schon lange nach links geschoben habe immer und immer wieder angezeigt. Das nervt und bringt leider niemanden ans Ziel. Ich hoffe sehr das diese Probleme der App irgendwann behoben werden, denn gutes Potenzial hat sie ja. Man verliert nur schnell die Lust, wenn einem sooooooo viele Männer angezeigt bekommt auf die man gar keinen Bock hat.
