Choose not to have a choice

First the positive thing: The artwork is quite neat.

But... I played a couple of chapters and got the feeling that the story didn’t go at all the way I intended to (even though I used two diamond options with my free diamonds, if that should be another pay to win trap).
So I deinstalled and reinstalled the app (got the free diamonds back, that was nice) and started over again.
But honestly, I have the feeling that I can’t really influence the path of this story no matter what I do.

Also I noticed too obvious inconsistencies in the story to shrug them off (nobody wonders why they can’t remember what happened, at one point one night has passed for you, but your friend talks as if it had been several nights for her and so on).
The characters often react strangely. For example; character A makes a suggestion, you agree with them and then they seem to be shocked what gave you such an idea.
Eh??

So, and I hope I won’t do anybody injustice because I didn’t play it through, but:
missing logic and massively confused characters aside - I‘ve got the impression that I cannot choose from or influence anything except little details of this story, in the end you land on the exact same path as with other choices made, and that kind of kills the basic concept of this kind of game, sorry.

So I‘ll read a good book instead.
