Let’s be honest: It’s not always easy to get excited about a calculator. But PCalc is well more than the sum of its parts; this beautifully designed utility is filled with high-powered features and functions that will appeal to everyone from engineers to programmers to students going to, well, pre-calc. If you’re a fan of scientific notation, trigonometry, and/or unit conversion, add this to your home screen.
Wow
PCalc wird seit über 25 Jahren für MacOS entwickelt und war eine der Apps, die von Tag 1 an im iPhone AppStore waren. Entsprechend durchdacht ist das Interface. Besonders empfehlen kann ich die Nutzung der umgekehrten polnischen Notation - hat man sich ein Mal dran gewöhnt, möchte man nicht mehr zurück zur klassischen Eingabe. So spart man sich jegliche Klammern auch in größeren Brüchen und sieht nebenbei noch alle Zwischenergebnisse.
Ein gewaltiges Easteregg findet sich im „about-Screen“, seht mal nach. Fast hat man das Gefühl, der Taschenrechner wäre hier eigentlich nur das Beiwerk des About-Screens und nicht andersherum.

Auf der Suche nach einer App die auf allen meinen i-Geräten viele Funktionen hat, bin ich hier hängen geblieben. Anfangs war ich skeptisch wegen des Preises, aber selbst auf der Watch sind so viele Funktionen untergebracht, dass ich das gerne bezahlt habe.
Hier haben die Programmierer mit viel Herzblut gearbeitet und wer mal in die Info geht, entdeckt Extras die einen echt vom Hocker hauen. Super App, kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
