Die App ist ganz nett, hat aber einen Bug und die Spaces sind in der Bibliothek „versteckt“.
Nach monatelanger Nutzung über den Webbrowser bin ich heute zur Nutzung der App übergegangen. Inhaltlich hat sich nichts verändert, Perplexity macht, was es soll, und das sehr gut.
Was mir aber an der App missfällt, ist deren Gestaltung bzw. Menüführung. In der App ist der Link für den Zugriff auf die neuen Spaces (man könnte diese auch als Akten oder Alben bezeichnen) nicht wie im Browser in der linken Spalte über der Bibliothek angesiedelt, sondern man muss erst in die Bibliothek wechseln, um auf die Spaces zugreifen zu können.
Vielleicht ist das jammern auf hohem Niveau, trotzdem stört es im Workflow und ist umständlich.
Wieso nicht analog zum Browser in der linken Menü-Spalte?
Nachtrag, mit - leider notwendigen - Abzug eines Sterns: Die App hat einen Bug: Wenn eine Frage/Anweisung im Eingabefeld formuliert wird und anschließend z.B. Textpassagen in der Mitte des Textes eingefügt werden, dann springt der Cursor nach einer Tastatureingabe unvermittelt an das Ende des Textes, was extrem lästig ist. Man müsste den Eingabetext in einem Editor bearbeiten, um ihn dann per Copy&Paste einzufügen. Extrem lästig. So kann ich die App nicht nutzen.
Mega App, Mega Idee und gute App, aber…
Die App ist wirklich mega und auch die Idee und die Quellen bei Perplexity einfach einzigartig, aber was mich stört ist, es wirkt im vergleich zu der Web Anwendung teilweise bisschen Abgespeckt, Online gibt es zu den Fokussen schöne Erklärungen und auch deutlich mehr Einstellungsmöglichkeiten (Anpassung des Profils, Bilderstellungsmodell…) und auch die Möglichkeit zur Erstellung von Seiten. Diese Funktionen fehlen mir und ich wünsche mir, dass die beiden Varianten angeglichen werden, dass man nicht immer zwischen Web und Mac-App hin und her springen muss
Wichtiges Werkzeug
Aus meinem Sprechstundenalltag immer weniger wegzudenken. Präzise Informationen auf wissenschaftlicher Basis mit nützlichen Literaturverweisen-genau so, wie ich es benötoge. Trotzdem: noch hilft mir diese KI-Anndung nur dort weiter, wo ich schon etwas weiß, eine Idee habe etc.
