PhotoReviewer is an image-handling utility for people who juggle a lot of photos. If you have a digital camera, it's not uncommon to have hundreds or even thousands of images coming into your "inbox". You need to compare them, rename them, toss the bad ones, sort the good ones into categories, email thumbnails to friends... you need an app that can help you with your photo workflow.

PhotoReviewer provides you with a suite of tools to help you quickly handle your incoming photo flow. Its magnifier lets you zoom in to see whether key areas are in focus or not; its histogram lets you quickly diagnose overexposed/underexposed images; and its side-by-side comparison mode, for up to 36 images, lets you look at a whole set of photos and quickly decide which ones are "keepers" and which ones aren't. You can also tint burned-out highlights and underexposed shadows to easily locate the problem areas in a photo, and even overlay horizontal/vertical rules to check whether the horizon is level or buildings are vertical.

PhotoReviewer is not a photo-catalog app to store all your photos forever, nor is it a photo-editing app to rebalance levels, correct red-eye, or crop your photos. Instead, it focuses on handling the initial review of your incoming photo flood, and makes it as easy, fast, and flexible as possible. In other words, it doesn't replace apps like Photos or Lightroom; instead, it belongs between your digital camera and those kinds of apps. You can import directly from your camera into PhotoReviewer, and use it to choose and categorize your best photos quickly, moving them into an "approved folder" or a "vetoed folder" (or more fine-grained "sorting folders"). It's a simple task, but it's often the most time-consuming part of your photography workflow.

PhotoReviewer is freeware; it costs nothing to download, and there are no in-app purchases. It is really just free. If you find it useful, please donate something to a charity of your choice to "pay it forward"; a couple of suggestions are in its About panel. Enjoy!
