PingStatus is a menu bar app that will monitor the health of your internet connection and provide notification when health has changed. It uses ICMP ping packets to monitor an internet host and tracks the last round trip delay, average delay, and packet loss percentage. You can specify your prefered internet host to monitor as well as the ping interval. It's that simple.
I created PingStatus to help when commuting on the train and attempting to do work on a cellular data connection. Hope you like it!
PingStatus runs in an App SandBox so it doesn't get access to your data. No data or analytics collected.

Works nicely on Mojave
I was looking for a ping-monitoring tool to keep an eye on my net connection, and this one proved to be quite nice, with support of notifications too in case of connection errors etc
It does not keep an historical vierw of the pings, so to see intervals when they failed etc, but for a free tool, it gets the full 5-stars from me.
Neat, loin, and simple.
Does what it says, easy, functional and unobtrusive. Very good!
