Simple distraction-free text editor without any rich text nonsense. The simplicity is a feature. ■ Highlights - No formatting. Just text. - Edit any plain text file like .txt, .csv, .md, etc - Optimal line spacing and length - Word count - Hide the title bar - Translucent background - Window can stay on top - Brain dump mode ■ Known issues Because of macOS bugs, spellchecking does not work and the window size may not be remembered. The app also does not have the ability to print because of macOS limitations. Brain dump mode does not work properly with some Asian languages. ■ Brain dump mode Lets you only write, but not delete or edit. This helps you focus on the actual writing instead of getting distracted with editing and nitpicking. ■ FAQ ‣ How is it better than TextEdit? - Editor padding - Optimal line spacing and length - Word count - Hide the title bar - Translucent background - Window can stay on top - Force dark/light mode - Brain dump mode ‣ Can you add a typewriter mode (centered text)? I don't plan to add that. ‣ Does it handle huge files? No. The app is optimized for writing. Use TextEdit or a code editor for such files. ■ Privacy The app fully respects your privacy. It is not even able to connect to the internet due to self-imposed restrictions that are enforced by macOS (no network entitlement). ■ Support You can contact me through the feedback button in the “Help” menu in the app.

Simple and on point. Nice freeware, very glad I discovered all your apps, they are a given. Thank you!Is it possible to add a focus mode, that dims all other lines of text but the one where the cursor is? It wouldn't be a bloat feature, but could complement the dump feature for concentrating / focusing.

Focus mode is something I would like to do at some point. However, it's quite a lot of work and not easy to get right, so it will unfortunately not happen anytime soon.

Focus mode is something I would like to do at some point. However, it's quite a lot of work and not easy to get right, so it will unfortunately not happen anytime soon.
