Pomo Done – Your Time Hacker 4+

Gute Idee, aber noch nicht ausgereift

Zunächst einmal: Um diese App zu verwenden, muss man sich registrieren. Evtl. kommen dort weitere Kosten auf einen zu.

Ich verwende für meine Aufgaben Todoist, das eigentlich mit der Pomodoneapp zusammenarbeitet. Aber nicht ausreichend.

Es beginnt damit, dass sich nicht alle meine Aufgaben zur Pomodone-Technik eignen. Ich würde ihnen gern Tags in Todoist geben. Blöderweise muss ich in Pomodone aber ein Projekt auswählen, welches nach Pomodone übertragen wird. Und ein Tag darf ich gern auswählen, aber leider gehen Todoist-Tags nicht. Zumindest noch nicht.

Also müsste ich in Todoist ein eigenes Pomodone-Projekt anlegen. Viele dieser Aufgaben sind bei mir aber schon in anderen Projekten gespeichert, wo sie auch hingehören. Das erzeugt bei mir irgendwie Ablehnung bei der Erstellung meiner Liste.

Auf dem Bildschirm öffnet die App ein kleines Fensterchen. Das nervt mich, weil ich nicht weiß, wohin damit auf dem Bildchirm. Ok. Oben in der Appleiste zählt etwas die Zeit. Gefällt mir aber irgendwie nicht. Das kleine Fensterchen folgt nicht zum aktuellen Bildschirm.

Und was mich schließlich nervt, nachdem ich mich damit angefreundet hatte, einfach in Todoist meine @POMODORO-Tags zu vergeben und dort die Aufgaben nach Erledigung abzuhaken: Die Pomodone-App braucht zwingend eine Aufgabe, um einen Timer zu starten. Ohne Aufgabe, kein Timer.

Was schön funktioniert hat, war die gegenseitige Replizierung zwischen Todoist und Pomodone. Das hat mir gefallen. Darum mal zwei Sterne von mir, weil ich dem Betreiber nichts böses will und ihm Erfolg dabei wünsche, diese App weiterzuentwickeln. Momentan sind mir allerdings die 5 Euro dafür noch zuviel und ich werde versuchen, sie zurückzuerhalten.

Thank you for your opinion.
However, I think it's more about your workflow rather than app itself.
We're going to support Todoist's filters pretty soon, but we already received dozens of workarounds from our users.
I am sorry you didn't noticed (or presumed) that account is a must have functionality for any app that have to keep real sync between different tools and sync timer among different instances (eg. iOS + Win or Android + Mac or any mobile to web version).
I am a bit surprised that you didn't try to expand the app or configure it the way to see the task and timer in tray, but I believe it takes too much time to discover some options of the app.
Thank you though for 2 stars. Less users, lower rating, less resources and slower development. I wish I knew who is it for, but certainly not the developer.
I think it would be much better and fruitful if you were sharing your opinion and feature requests directly to us via LiveChat or Feedback form.

Yet another website in a app

The “app” is basically a front end for the website.

The app is not usable witouth a account on their website, which is not clear from the describtion.

All data processing seems to be done on the servers of the app and not your local computer. Makes it pretty much impossible to use it for any serious things as it would require to give access to for instance jira to the serves of the app which might contain sensitive information.

Thank you, we'll update our description with next build submitted, and add a note about account for the people that doesn't understand how the sync between different tools supposed to work.

We have a special mode for cloud storage and processing for the companies with strict policies, please contact us directly if you are looking for something like that.

We use server/cloud processing to make sure all the app instances can be in real-time sync, so yes, it's true, but we never considered it as a downside, keeping in mind our existing users workflow.
