The Offshore App allows you to seamlessly download multiple GRIB files for your coastal and offshore passages.
Quickly download and view GRIB files, weather routes, GMDSS maps and text forecasts, AIS data and satellite imagery.
Access all the world’s top ranking forecast models for reliable and accurate weather data, including ECMWF, SPIRE, UKMO, GFS and more. Our very own PWG & PWE models offer incredible accuracy and a record-breaking 1km resolution.
In addition to forecasts, the Offshore App also provides a suite of powerful marine tools to save you time and keep you safe at sea.
Weather Routing and Departure Planning is calculated in the PredictWind cloud at the highest resolution. The finished route is then sent back to your boat in an incredibly small file size which is ideal for low bandwidth satellite and SSB connections.
The Offshore App works with Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and most satellite connections using an Iridium GO!, Globalstar or Optimizer device.

Just a wrapper around the website?
I was hoping for a better user experience than what the website can provide but sadly the webapp is much more usable than the "native" app. You can't set the boat settings and once you've created a route and want to plan a few days ahead - the animation for the routes are starting now and not the specified date. The fullscreen view locks on a 4:3 aspect ration on wider screens and the routes of your account also don't seem to sync to the devices. Will keep using the web app for now or the iOS app if I have to.
I hope both the iOS as the macOS app get a significant interface update soon to at least be as useful and user friendly as the web app.
Sehr hilfreiches Programm mit kleinen Mängeln
Grundsätzlich ein hervorragendes Planungsinstrument für längere Segeltörns. Es gibt kleine Einschränkungen. So fehlt z.B. ein Koordinatensystem auf der Karte, das die Orientierung deutlich unterstützen könnte. Außerdem keine Möglichkeit, Koordinaten in Grad, Minuten und Sekunden einzugeben, sondern nur mit Dezimalstellen und auch das funktioniert leider noch nicht fehlerfrei. Hier hat sich wohl ein kleiner Bug eingeschlichen. Die Eingabe von Koordinaten funktioniert eigentlich nur graophisch durch Verschieben der grünen und roten Markierungen.

vor Monaten hatte ich schon mal versucht dieses Programm zu nutzen und bin damals schon verzweifelt.
Hat sich nichts geändert, allein schon dieses wirrwar mit Benutzername, Email, Passwort.
Ist mir einfach zu doof mich durch die verworrenen Gedankengänge der Programmierer zu quälen.
Wieso brauch ich zum download einer GFS Vorhersage ein Passwort.
Zeitverschwendung.
Es bleibt bei Zygrib.
