RecurseChat is a personal AI app for chatting with local AI offline and privately. Chat with local documents, chat with images, import ChatGPT history, perform advanced text search, and much more.

Blazingly fast full text search over thousands of chat messages.
• Import ChatGPT chat history
You can import all of your ChatGPT chat history, and continue your previous chats using either local models or GPT models. Ever want to find an old chat in ChatGPT? Just import the chat history and type in the search box.

Schrott!
Das Programm hängt sich auf, sobald ein lokaler Server gestartet wird und es gibt keinerlei Unterstützung für Fehlermeldungen, wenn man die API von ChatGPT verknüpft. Scheinbar geht das Lizenzrechtlich nicht.
Ich warte noch ein paar Tage, ob ein Update kommt, falls nein, geht das Programm zurück.

Sorry to hear about your experience. We have found some compatibility issue for local models on macOS earlier than Ventura 13.3. If you are running an early version of macOS, please email support@recurse.chat and we can help you with the refund.
For ChatGPT API, please let us know what issue you are seeing. One common scenario is to use GPT-4 with your own API key, you would need to have made $5 payment to your OpenAI account (usage tier 1). This requirement is enforced by OpenAI.
Super Tool (wenn man weiss wie man es benutzt)
Ich benutze regelmässig ChatGPT und Ollama für lokale Modelle und RecurseChat bringt diese Welten wunderbar in einer App zusammen.
Die App-Beschreibung schreibt zwar "You don't need technical knowledge...", aber das stimmt nur bedingt, man sollte schon wissen was hinter den Kulissen passiert.
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sterne weil:
✅ Einfach zu bedienen, ein Interface mit Volltext-Suche für lokale Modelle, Ollama und OpenAI
✅ Entwickler geht auf Vorschläge ein und fragt auch nach Feedback, das heisst Nutzer können das Produkt noch besser machen
✅ Die App hat kein Tracking, wenn man nur lokale Modelle benutzt.
✅ Ein prima Interface, das nicht im Weg ist
✅ Stabil und funktioniert einfach
✅ Einmal bezahlen und kein Abo. Absolut sein Geld wert.

Regarding the technical knowledge required to use the app, we try to make it as easy as possible to use local models, even for a non-technical user. For power users we hope to provide necessary affordances to tweak and customize. We strive to stick to the "Simple, yet mighty" slogan.
Features like support for Ollama is only added because of feedback like yours. Your feedback has helped us improved the app and your review motivated us to keep pushing the boundaries of what an AI companion app can offer.
Not a single one of the downloaded models is working
When trying to start any of the servers, I get:
"Something wrong with starting model server
Model server exited with signal SIGABRT. There might be a problem with the model file."
