The Creative MIDI Sequencer
Riffer is a creative MIDI sequencer that generates random patterns and melodies for you. Designed to feed any Synth, Sampler, Drum Machine and anything that accepts MIDI signal both software and hardware. You can choose scales, complexity, steps, start and end points, playback motion, set pitch, transpose, measures and many more.
Generate fresh ideas, sequences, melodies, riffs and musical patterns. Turn them into something of your own, or let it run endlessly using the Infinity mode. Riffer is built both for studio and live performance. The app includes a huge variety of scales, from western to eastern and you can save your favorite Riffs for quick access.
Featuring MIDI output support over WiFi or MIDI cable. Riffer also supports Ableton Link for tight sync between apps on the same network.

One of the better generative sequencers
It‘s good. There are quite a few options to control what‘s happening when generating a new sequence, which really help getting good and interesting results.
The user interface is well made and stuctured in a way that makes sense.
But I miss the option to use an external midi clock signal with riffer?!
No chords?
The app is packed with features end the UI is great but there is no way to play more than 1 note simultaneously. Why? Please implement this feature. Thanks in advance.

My go-to for melody ideas
Riffer integrates perfecty into my workflow through the Audiobus 3 MIDI chain. Riffer creates randomized ideas, I can modify them right inside Riffer and/or with further MIDI filters such as the Roseta Suite, and finally everything is recorded into Xequence 2 and edited there. Thanks a lot, guys!
