Description
Be in total control of your heating system with the sensoAPP. The sensoAPP provides the ability to remotely control your Vaillant heating system to ensure comfort as well as operating in a cost-efficient manner. Use with the sensoCOMFORT and sensoHOME controls.
The sensoCOMFORT and sensoHOME are Vaillant's new wired or wireless controls for multi-zone heating systems. They have been designed to be simple to install and use, and operate with Vaillant's proprietary eBUS protocol, ensuring all of the components of the system can easily communicate with each other to provide optimum system performance.
The sensoAPP offers you the following functions:
Freedom and flexibility:
Make sure that your Vaillant heating system is at your desired thermal comfort level at anytime and even when you’re out and about using the sensoAPP.
Always in the know:
The sensoAPP notifies you about the status of your heating system. This includes fault notifications, service reminders and operational irregularities.
Time programming assistant:
With the sensoAPP, you can easily set up time programmes for heating and hot water.
Energy management:
Understand the energy consumption of your Vaillant heating appliance to help you use less energy whilst still maintaining comfort in your home.
Individual room control:
With ambiSENSE TRV’s, you can expand and optimise your entire heating system and use sensoAPP to set the desired comfort temperature for each individual room, helping you to save on energy.
The Vaillant ambiSENSE TRV’s are compatible with the sensoCOMFORT control.
Security protocols:
The sensoAPP has been fully tested and certified by the VDE which provides smart home testing protocols inclusive of privacy and confidential data.
What are the requirements for the sensoAPP and which heating systems are compatible?
All eBUS compatible Vaillant appliances (built from 2007 onwards) with one or more heating circuits with the sensoNET (VR 921) internet communication module and the sensoCOMFORT (VR 720) or sensoCOMFORT (VRT 380) controls.

Zu wenig Informationen und dysfuntionale App
Die App speichert zwar den Gasverbrauch über die Zeit, aber keine relevanten Zusatzinformationen wie Außentemperatur (!), Vorlauftemperatur, etc. Zum Optimieren der eigenen Heizung also ziemlich sinnlos. Die letzten Tage verlangt die App laufend eine Neuanmeldung - total nervig ! Dabei vergisst sie dann jedes Mal einige Einstellungen. Bitte "reparieren" ! Heute hat die App anscheinend meine Anlage "vergessen". Irgendwie ist das alles sehr instabil... Daher nur noch zwei Sterne! In den letzten Wochen - glücklicherweise (noch) im Sommer - zeigt die App fast nur noch eine "inkompatible Anlage". Ein Zugriff auf die Thermostate oder die Berichte ist nicht möglich. 1 Stern und heftiger Zweifel, ob wir den richtigen Heizungshersteller gewählt haben. Ist Vaillant aber vermutlich egal - in Zukunft gibt es ja wohl nur noch Wärmepumpen ( Sorry für die evtl. Polemik).
Das "Vergessen" der Anlage war tatsächlich ein Hardware-Defekt des Internet Gateways. Wurde im Rahmen der (extra bezahlten) 5-Jahres Garantie vom Werkskundendienst getauscht. Daher jetzt wieder 3 Punkte.
Deutliche Schwächen und wenig Informationen
Das aktualisieren der Daten von der App aus dauert sehr lange, mindestens 30s. Die Bedienung der Heizprogramme ist sehr umständlich anhand Schieberegler möglich. Für eine moderne Heizungsanlage stehen nur grundsätzliche Daten zur Verfügung, Vorlauftemperatur und Warmwassertemperatur. Für mich wäre Interessant in welchem Zustand Sich die Heizung im Moment befindet, welche aktuelle Verdichterleistung/Frequenz, Vorlauftemperatur bei Wärmepumpen. Die Anbindung an ein PV System (SMA) ist zwar grundsätzlich möglich und Details werden auch angezeigt jedoch funktioniert diese Schnittstelle nicht immer. Ich hoffe auf eine neue Version.
Insgesamt gelungen
Ich nutze die App seit Mitte 2021 Minuten in Verbindung mit meine Wärmepumpe und bin grundsätzlich sehr zufrieden. Die Daten aktualisieren sich recht schnell (ca. 25 Sekunden) und die Verbräuche an Strom sind nachvollziehbar. Grundlegend habe ich damit einen guten Überblick und kann leichte Optimierungen bzgl. Zeitläufe vornehmen und gleich eingeben. Wesentlich mehr kann die App nicht, war aber auch keine Anforderung und wurde auch nicht als solches verkauft. Relevante Einstellungen zu Heizkurven und weiteren Details sind am separaten Bedienpanel vorzunehmen, passt also. Schön wären Exportfunktionen zu Verbräuchen / Vorlauftemperaturen etc. um bessere Auswertungen vornehmen zu können. Macht was es soll.
