Shelly 1.4 includes a major update to the core SSH library which brings many improvements and new features, including:
- Improved compatibility with new SSH servers.
- Support for importing, exporting and generating new key formats.
- Fixes an issue where RSA public key authentication didn't work on some servers.
Other new app features and fixes in 1.4 include:
- Private and public keys can now be exported directly as files into other apps (previously only pasteboard was supported).
- Added an information popup that explains why a connection was closed while the app was in the background.
- Reorganized the 'Keyboard and Gestures' section in Settings to make it make it more straightforward.
- The toolbar can now be optionally hidden when using a physical keyboard.
- Fixed an issue that prevented entering text into other apps when using the app on iPad in split view with a physical keyboard.
Ratings and Reviews
iCloud Sync fehlt
Die App selbst tut was sie soll. Im Gegensatz zu anderen SSH-Apps bietet diese aber leider keine Möglichkeit Verbindungen über iCloud zu synchronisieren.
Besser als die anderen
Von dem halben Dutzend beliebtester SSH Clients im App Store gefällt dieser mir am besten. Saubere, übersichtliche Benutzeroberfläche und viele Anpassungsmöglichkeiten auch bei der Darstellung. Für mich besonders wichtig ist, dass Benutzername und Passwort nicht zwingend im Profil angegeben bzw. auf dem Mobilgerät abgespeichert werden müssen wie bei vielen anderen Apps, sondern dass man selber bestimmen kann ob man dies will oder nicht. Ich würde mir noch wünschen, dass man außer der Schriftgrösse auch die Schriftart selber wählen kann. Insgesamt klare Kaufempfehlung und auch der Preis ist absolut fair - bravo auch, dass auf Abo-Abzocke verzichtet wurde.
Sehr guter SSH Client
Kein monatliches oder jährliches Abo, schnell und unkompliziert. Funktioniert in der Premium-Version auch prima mit Private-Keys, Texte lassen sich kopieren und mit dem Apple Magic Keyboard funktioniert es perfekt. Ich wünschte man könnte vorhandene Connections auch ohne sie vorher zu öffnen editieren aber das ist nur halb so wild. Dateien per SCP zu kopieren wäre auch noch ein schönes feature jetzt wo der Dateimanager von iOS ja langsam besser wird aber da kann man sich auch behelfen.
