Get closer to nature by spending the night in a hiking shelter!
Do you want to immerse yourself in the wilderness and spend the night outdoors? Or perhaps you're just looking for a nice place to have a "fika pause" during a hike? There are plenty of hiking shelters all around, but finding them is usually not easy.
Vindskyddskartan (which means "Shelter map" in Swedish) gives you an easy to use overview of thousands of shelters on a map so you can easily find one near your location. The app is not limited to Sweden - anyone around the word is welcome to contribute to it! In some locations, the app also gives you easy access to current and forecasted fire risk and fire ban status, so you know when, where and how you can safely enjoy a campfire and cook food in nature.
The app is subscription based, but you can try it for free for 3 days before paying anything. If you prefer to own your apps, you can make a one-time purchase and have unlimited lifetime access to the app. All purchases are made from within the app. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the next renewal. Uninstalling the app will not automatically cancel an active subscription. Active subscriptions are managed from the App Store, and of course you may cancel your subscription at any time.

- Info about trails, nature areas and public transport in the vicinity of a shelter is displayed on the detail page for each shelter (when such info is available). This info is in "beta", which means it has some limitations and that it might not be 100% reliable.

Also ich kann die negativen Kommentare hier überhaupt nicht verstehen!!
Ja die App kostet 5,59€ im Jahr und das meiner Meinung nach auch zu recht !
Für allen anderen Müll geben die Menschen auch so viel Geld aus und ich denke 5,49€ ist wirklich mehr als okay für ein Jahr!
Diese App wurde mit viel Liebe gestaltet und erfüllt ihren Zweck und erleichtert das Wandern und die Shelter suche sehr.
Ich finde es sehr beeindruckend wie viele Shelter und andere Plätze hier zu finden sind.
Jeder kann dort Bilder machen und diese hochladen damit auch andere sehen können wie es am jeweiligen Place ausschaut.
Man kann jedes Shelter bewerten und beschreiben was auch viele machen.
Und dann gibt die Leute die sich beschweren und selbst nichts dazu beitragen.
Nehmt eure Stiefel in die Hand (oder an den Fuß) und tragt euren Teil bei !
Viel Spaß ich hoffe man sieht sich am Lagerfeuer 🙂🙂

Enttäuschend nach drei Tagen Kostenpflichtig, da lohnt noch nicht mal ausprobieren!
Nach dem Öffnen der Gratis App wird man sofort genötigt ein Kostenpflichtiges Abo abzuschließen, was jederzeit kündbar ist…! Noch nicht mal ausprobieren kann man die App…!
