Great!
Simple, clean and functional. Works as it is supposed to.
Basic, and occasionally functional
The program's never promised to be much more than a basic file uploader from Photos to Smugmug - and until recently, it achieved it.
On MacOS Ventura, it no longer shows your albums from Photos when selecting files to upload so, unless you're only uploading video (where the Photos file selector still works) the program is pretty useless as the workaround is to export the album's photos out of Photos and then use Smugmug - but then, you might as well use the Smugmug website uploader.
The program's bascially been abandoned (close to a year since the last update) so it's hard to recommend.
It keeps disappearing but still there
I downloaded the smugmug app for my macbook pro. I open the app. Voila there it is. But suddenly the login box of the app disappears and I can’t find it anymore. Clicking again on open doesn’t help. The app just crashed and will not open anymore.
Now I solved the problem. The app is on the uppertask list. So you need to activate it from there.
But strangely enough, according to my Mac the app is not running. So when you check force quit there is no smugmug among the listed apps. This is normal as this is no app but just a widget. And there is still no interaction with the Mac photos app. Still no other way than exporting and uploading. Very tiresome.
