Quick Guide:
1. Install spacedesk DRIVER software for Windows Primary PC.
Download from: https://www.spacedesk.net
2. Install this spacedesk Viewer app for iOS.
3. Open this spacedesk Viewer app and connect to Windows Primary PC.
Connection: USB or LAN (Local Area Network).
LAN: Driver and Viewer must be on the same network
- via Mobile Hotspot
Note: Does NOT need internet connection!
The Windows Primary Machine running spacedesk Driver...
...supports Windows 11, Windows 10 or Windows 8.1. Apple Macs are not supported.
Dual monitor and multi monitor configurations are supported.

The Secondary Machine or Device (iOS network display client)...

The wireless and wired cable connection...

Gute App, aber noch in der Beta-Phase
Dafür, dass sie kostenlos ist, ist diese App schon sehr gut. Allerdings merkt man bei der Benutzung, dass das ganze erst im Beta-Stadium ist, hin und wieder friert das Bild einfach ein, bis man die Verbindung trennt, das Windows-Programm neu startet und die Verbindung wieder herstellt. Trotzdem hat die App besonders wegen ihrer sehr einfachen Benutzung und der guten Dokumentation auf der Entwicklerwebsite großes Potential. Sobald die gröbsten Fehler behoben sind, gibt es 5 Sterne. Auch mit Echtzeitanwendungen gibt es von der Geschwindigkeit her keine Probleme, ich benutze die App hauptsächlich, um auf meinem iPad eine zusätzliche Datenanzeige von einem Spiel zu sehen.

Erstaunlich brauchbare Sache
Wollte Spacedesk eigentlich nur als Provisorium nutzen bis ich mir einen neuen Zweitmonitor geholt habe, aber das ganze klappt besser als erwartet! Hätte nicht gedacht das mein Bildschirm vom Rechner so flüssig und verzögerungsfrei in der Auflösung an mein iPad Pro 12,9“ 2020 geschickt werden kann. Was mir besonders gut gefällt ist die Einfachheit der App. Quasi ein Sidecar wie man es vom Mac kennt für Windows (auch wenn Sidecar technisch bedingt natürlich noch etwas runder läuft). Die Einrichtung ist absolut Idiotensicher. Das einzige Manko ist, dass das Magic Keyboard mit Trackpad für die neue iPads noch nicht unterstützt wird, schade drum. Für Remote Anwendung bleibe ich erstmal bei MS Remote Desktop. Auch diese Navigationsleiste von den iOS Geräten ohne Homebutton am unteren Bildschirmrand blendet sich leider nicht aus bei Nutzung. Ist nicht dramatisch, aber korrekturbedürftig da es doch stört (verdeckt die Windows Taskbar). Ansonsten zur reinen Erweiterung des Desktops perfekt! Wundert mich das Spacedesk kostenlos ist. Ein Abo wäre es mir wohl nicht wert, aber gute Einmalzahlung hättet ihr euch alle mal verdient. Weiter so!

Überraschend gute Konnektivität und Funktion
Ich bin zufällig über diese App gestolpert auf dem Weg einen zweiten Monitor an meinem Windows Rechner zu etablieren (per iPad). Überraschend leichte Installation! Ich bin regelrecht begeistert!… Nach unter 3 Minuten und wenig Aufwand oder Kenntnisse Voraussetzung waren alle Downloads und Installation fertig und ein zweiter Monitor am Windows Rechner installiert... bevor ich die Anleitung öffnen konnte! ;)
Einziger Kritikpunkt ist im Moment die Auflösung: im Querformat ist nur 1024 × 768 oder die native Auflösung des iPad Pro 10.5 möglich. Auch per Touch Display funktioniert das war prima, allerdings ist die Darstellung natürlich Mini mit so einem iPad. Toll wäre für das iPad Display Format irgendeine Zwischenlösung. Ich würde ungern die Windows Skalierungsfunktion benutzen (funktioniert prinzipiell), da dieses erfahrungsgemäß mit exotischen Softwareprodukten Probleme machen kann.
