Man kann beim erstellen eines Kontos einiges falsch machen und sich am Ende komplett aussperren…Passwörter sollen nicht zu lang, keine Sonderzeichen an Anfang und Ende haben, einige Sonderzeichen sind ganz schlecht… Eine Menge Sachen - leider steht das nirgendwo. 3 Sterne gibt es weil der Support wirklich hilft. Allerdings war es für beide Seiten anstrengend (Sprachbarriere, Zeitzone…). Was mich immer stört (nicht nur hier) ist die halbherzige Übersetzung. Das führt auch zu Missverständnissen! Ich bin mir nicht sicher ob SplashID und die Firma dahinter eine solide Hausnummer ist. Im Moment habe ich dort eher unwichtige Sachen hinterlegt.

man sollte sein passwort nicht verlegen und ein extern gesichertes backup der splashID haben. mit wifi sync gibt es 10versuche, danach wird alles gelöscht, auch alle backups die die software finden kann. das ist konsequent: schutz gibt es nur, wenn man nicht mit millionen von bruteforce-eingaben das passwort knacken kann. dafür muss das splashID-passwort aber auch nicht extrem kompliziert sein.

seit vielen Jahren nutze ich SplashID - in meiner Familie wurde es zum Synonym für Passwörter und zur Redewendung („schau doch mal in Schpläschit“ wenn mir irgend etwas nicht einfiel).Leider fällt mir zunehmend etwas nicht ein, obwohl es in SplashID gespeichert ist.> Entweder geht es garnicht auf, wenn z.B. das Gerät eine schlechte Netzwerbindung hat oder lässt sich dutzende Sekunden Zeit damit,> Oder die Label der EInträge sind gelöscht oder durcheinander> Oder die selber gewählten Icons werden nicht mehr korrekt angezeigt> oder oderInsgesamt habe ich das Gefühl, dass das Tool kontinuierlich schlechter und unzuverlässiger wird. Längst schon plane ich den Umstieg, schade nur, dass das so aufwändig ist.Übrigens stört mich auch, dass man von diversen Tools liest, aber niemals von SplashID. Ist das Tool derart „undercover“, dass es niemand bemerkt hat? Oder derart abseits, dass es niemanden interessiert? Längst habe ich kein gutes Gefühl mehr damit ... adieu lifetime-abo.
Katastrophe!

Ich nutze die Software schon ca 10 Jahre. Die Synchronisation ist eine super Sache. Aber die Programmierung eine einzige Katastrophe. Aktuell ist ein kompletter Eintrag verschwunden. Die Wiederherstellung aus den Backups ist umständlich. Hinzu kommt, dass Einträge vom Programm verändert werden. Es sind zwar nur vom Programm hinzu gefügte Leerzeilen, trotzdem geht das natürlich gar nich bei einem Passwortmanager. Dann noch so ein paar Kleinigkeiten bei der Bedienung (System springt in der Ansicht hin und her etc)Ich überlege ernsthaft zu wechseln!
