Im Projekt SteigtUM wird ein Mobilitätssystem erarbeitet, das aus alltagstauglichen elektrischen Kleinfahrzeugen, einer autonomen Verleih- und Ladeinfrastruktur und einer universellen Nutzungsschnittstelle besteht. Damit wird einem möglichst breiten Kreis an Menschen eine kostengünstige, leicht verfügbare und emissionsfreie Alternative zum PKW angeboten. Das System kann sowohl privat als auch gewerblich genutzt werden. In einem mehrstufigen Reallabor in der Stadt Freiberg wird das Gesamtsystem hinsichtlich Funktionalität, Flexibilität, Akzeptanz und Nutzerfreundlichkeit erprobt.
