This is the FREE version of the most popular vessel tracking app, providing real-time data on the positions and movements of vessels, utilizing a large network of terrestrial AIS receivers and satellites. VesselFinder Lite aims to reveal the comprehensive picture of the global AIS coverage.
VesselFinder Lite features include:

The visibility of vessels in this application depends on AIS signal availability. If a particular vessel is out of our AIS coverage zone, VesselFinder displays her last reported position and updates it as soon as the vessel comes into range. The completeness and accuracy of the information provided cannot be guaranteed.

Funktioniert und macht was sie soll
Die App tut was sie verspricht mit den beschriebenen Einschränkungen zur Pro-Version. Als da wären, die Einblendung von Werbung und die fehlende Möglichkeit, ein Schiff als Favorit (My Fleet) abzuspeichern.
Allerdings muss ich dazusagen, dass ich keine Live-Infos benötige und auch nicht weiß, wie aktuell die Daten sind. Mir reicht es, wenn ich sehe wo sich das Schiff XY in der Welt gerade befindet.
Sprache
Liebes VesselFinder Team,
mich würde es sehr freuen wenn im nächsten Update die Sprache Deutsch mit einprogrammiert wird.
Einwandfrei
Es gibt viele Infos zu den Schiffen, die Datenbasis ist auch sehr aktuell, daher rundherum zu empfehlen.
