VMware Horizon Client for iOS makes it easy to work on your VMware Horizon virtual desktop and hosted applications from your iPhone or iPad, giving you on-the-go access from any location.
IMPORTANT NOTE: A VMware Horizon virtual desktop or hosted application is required to use the VMware Horizon Client for iOS. Contact your IT department for further assistance.

Funktioniert...
Zur Zeit klappt das Anmelden und Arbeiten ohne Probleme. Einen 5. Stern gibt es, wenn es möglich ist, dass ein voller Bildschirm angezeigt wird, wenn ich’s Tablet mit nem Monitor verbinde.
Potential noch nicht voll ausgereizt mit externen Monitor
Das Arbeiten über Horizon auf einem IPad klappt ziemlich gut. Über ein Dock, Maus und Tastatur anschließen, Headset auf die Ohren und los gehts. Ist für mobiles Arbeiten wenn man unterwegs ist oder Firmeninterne flexibel sein möchte, recht gut. Was leider nicht gut klappt, ist das Arbeiten mit einem externen Monitor. Sobald der externe Monitor in den Einstellungen auf „Erweitern“ steht und nicht auf „Spiegeln“ ist es vorbei mit dem Spaß. Arbeiten ist dann nicht mehr möglich. Teilweise alle paar Sekunden bis maximal 5 Minuten stürzt die App ab. Ein Glück das die Maschine auf dem Server weiter läuft. Trotzdem ist es damit leider nicht möglich zu arbeiten. Wir hatten damit vor nur noch das iPad als Standalone zu nutzen um maximale Flexibilität zu erreichen, jedoch ist dies damit nicht möglich. So müssen wir auf diese Lösung leider verzichten. Es würde uns wirklich freuen wenn so eine „Kleinigkeit“ auch stabil funktioniert. Dann gibt es auch die vollen Sterne und wir können es auf alle Kollegen ausrollen.
Endlich mit Mouse-Support
Klasse, darauf habe ich jetzt wirklich lange gewartet. Jetzt ist die Maschine endlich vernünftig zu nutzen, wenn ich diese mal brauche.
Musste bei mir allerdings die Einstellung „Native Windows-Touch-Gesten“ ausschalten, damit die Mouse sichtbar wurde.
