Description
A Mac app for using Alexa.
Control your home devices, ask general questions, add and remove items to your shopping list, set timers and more. It is an Alexa implementation. On your desktop.
There are some things you should know before getting this app:
1. Not all audio content can be supported. Amazon don't allow third-party apps such as this app to play music, audio books or some daily-news content, and make announcements;
2. The app can listen automatically on launch;
3. If the weather or time are wrong, ensure you've enabled Location access in the Alexa app to the "Voice in a Can" device, and that you have granted Location permissions to the app on your phone;
4. You don't have to say "Alexa" ... just speak your command when the app is listening;
5. You can change the language that you speak and hear responses in, under "Settings". Only languages supported by Alexa are supported. The language should be set automatically.

Funktioniert
Ich hab die App extra wegen der watch runter geladen. Sie funktioniert, wenn auch manchmal etwas verzögert. Da mich die Berichte darüber, das die App den Akku leer saugt verunsichert haben und ich keinen "Aus-Schalter" gefunden habe, habe ich die App wieder deinstalliert. Ich hätte sie behalten, wenn es eine Möglichkeit gäbe sie zu beenden.
Schon brauchbar, aber noch ausbaufähig
Ich habe mir die App aufgrund einer Meldung von ifun direkt gekauft, da ich in meiner Wohnung noch ein paar Steckdosen habe, die ich nicht mit Siri steuern kann. Mein Echo schon, hier habe ich aber das nervige Mikro deaktiviert, da mich die permanenten Störungen genervt haben. So musste ich immer zum IPhone greifen und mittels App die Steckdosen ein oder ausschalten.
Das bekommt die App schon mal prima hin, die Reaktionszeit könnte aber sicher noch verkürzt werden.
Funktioniert absolut zuverlässig.
Endlich Alexa auf der Watch
Das Design und das Icon sind zwar ein wenig verbesserungsbedürftig aber die Funktionalität ist spitze und nachdem man sich einmalig mit Amazon verbunden hat, kann man die gewohnten Sprach-Befehle auch direkt von der Watch aus aufrufen.
Ich habe mir zusätzlich noch einen Siri-Shortcut erstellt und muss nun nur noch „Hey Siri, Alexa“ sowie den Sprach-Befehl sagen und schon wird es erledigt.
Und an die, die eine schlechte Bewertung abgegeben haben weil sich die App nicht von selbst aus beendet: dies ist leider nicht möglich da Apple dies so nicht erlaubt!
