The app works well and midi, audio and LFO/EG modulation is well done. Of course, I’d immediately want even more mod sources for audio reactivity and maybe also device tilt, camera brightness, camera gestures, etc.

Regarding the visuals it’s less like a synthesizer and more like a ROMpler, if we want to stay true to the analogy ;-) So there’s a bunch of preset visual “materials” with a few individual controls and no “synthesis”, like on a real music synthesizer, where you have deep control. So I hope that there will be an option to create your own materials from scratch too at some point, even if that would mean coding the shaders externally in a text editor and loading them into the app via script files or something. Otherwise, the provided preset materials will become boring very quickly, as they are all very “unique” and thus different performances could look very similar.

Still, a very good start and something I have been searching for for a long time. So 4 stars :)

Thanks you for your detaled review. Still on the analogy topic: a subtractive synthesizer has only 4 types of wave forms, SIN, SAW, TRI, SQR. It's the frequency of the oscillator combined with the filter and modulation sculpting that gives the character to each sound. While we understand your point, for us, video and images are more like samples because they are not mutable. Anyway, we intend to provide custom shader import. It is just a matter of time to find the best way for to provide that option to user. We also intend to provide additional preset packs with original shaders. This is just the beggining. Thank you!

Hi thanks for the review and feedback! You export and import your local/custom banks of presets, that's the easiest way to share/transfer patches from device to device right now.
