Orientation, Information and Tours at the most beautiful Coal Mine in the World!
The UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein covers an area of 100 hectares. With the help of this app, visitors can discover the wide range of services and activities at the World Heritage site. The app shows the way to museums, exhibition and event halls, places of interest, catering, businesses and the most important sites on the premises. It provides information about both the current and the historical usage of the buildings and facilities. Entertaining tours lead to exciting places at Zollverein.

Version 4.0.1
We have rebuilt the Zollverein app completely from the ground up. We hope you have a better, smoother, more streamlined experience. We have added a new feature allowing you to filter all the locations, added a navigable and interactive map of the Zollverein site, on-site navigation to destinations, and we're removed the faulty AR experiences. We hope you enjoy the new features.

Nicht so genau, aber gut
Bei mir hat die App gut gekappt, nur sie war nicht so genau. Ich war auf dem angezeigten Weg, aber die App hat mich machmal neben den Weg angezeigt. Ich musste manchmal noch weiter gehen als meine Eltern, dann musste ich wieder ein paar Schritte zurück, weil ich z.B. den großen Bagger an der Stelle nicht sehen konnte. Sonst hat die App gut geklappt.
Unnötig kompliziert, unflexibel und akkufressend.
Bei Rundgängen muss man an den von der App vorgesehenen Orten stehen, um die recht knappen und wenig informativen Texte lesen zu können. Bei Baumaßnahmen sind Frustrationen und Umwege unumgänglich. Es wird keinerlei Freiheit geboten, wann man welchen Text lesen kann, was wirklich nicht barrierefrei ist. Zudem ist der Akkuverbrauch unnötig hoch (iPhone 12), so dass 30 Minuten Rundgang fast 30% Akku entleeren - man müsste also zwischendurch aufladen, wenn man den Rundgang ganz machen will. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit, die Infos woanders zu kriegen. Wir haben unseren Besuch der Zeche frustriert abgebrochen und gucken lieber einen Dokumentarfilm.
