Decentralization and Redistribution is no longer the future

It is here, now. Zora is doing what Web2 social media companies should have done from the start AND that governments should have be working to legislate and reinforce when it comes to Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and any other company that holds users hostage to engagement algorithms quite literally farming them for their own profit when all content we share, the time we spend online, our thoughts and desires are made into the product that these companies trade whilst people fear disappearing from their social circles as the algorithms bury them into oblivion, and therefor a mental health crisis and ultimately poverty.
Zora seems to be going the equitable direction. I don’t put my hand on fire for anyone, but so far, so brilliant. As decentralized social medias start to flourish, the role of the “future” now is to patiently reveal where there is real care, consistency, connection and community action that matches rhetoric whilst offering true abundance, ethics and equity for all. We don’t need another soon to be trillionaire. For now: GO ZORA!
