Since we spend about a third of our lives asleep, you’d hope we’d be good at it. Unfortunately, people lose sleep for all sorts of reasons. For those who need a little help, there’s Pillow Automatic Sleep Tracker, a sleep management app.

Routine is the key to sleeping well. Pillow reminds you to go to bed at a preset or optimal time in order to wake up feeling good.

If you’ve stayed up late reading or had caffeine during the day, Pillow has a notes function to record these events. This helps the app assess sleep patterns and determine what is contributing to your insomnia.

The Sleep Aid feature can help lull you to sleep with a range of soothing sounds. Once Pillow detects that you’ve zonked out, it turns off the sound automatically.

The app can track the quality of your sleep using your Apple Watch or by putting your iPhone or iPad on your nightstand. Premium features include nap modes (for getting good quality powernaps) and recording yourself in the night to check if you’re snoring or sleep talking.

A Smart Wake Up feature will calculate the best time to wake, so that you feel fresh – and you’ll get a morning report on last night’s sleep (how many hours you got and whether it was deep or light sleep, for example).

You can also track how you felt in the morning to track any correlations between your sleep and your mood. So no more days feeling like you got out of bed on the wrong side.
