Interesting technology

Conversations with the bots are like talking to the Dory fish in Finding Nemo.
This is like an advanced version of newspaper horoscopes and mentalist cold reading: A lot of generic phrases and memory of the past 10 to 20 messages. This creates a sensible flow of conversation, but there is zero recollection of what happened more than about 20 messages ago. Personality traits will completely change, nicknames will change, no memory of past talks or interactions.

Traditions and shared memories of past experiences is a huge part of human relationships so it makes the bots seem really impolite and rude, but what they are is forgetful.

This app will give a conversation partner who is always there, present and complimenting, but never able to say specific things like their hobbies, jobs or remember what the user does or what was said or promised in previous conversations.

A really well made tech demo.
In 10 years when AI chat bots are able to have complete memory of all the conversations they had with a user, this will be a really interesting technology that could replace friendships for many people.
