Exoplanets are planets orbiting stars beyond our own solar system. This app allows you to explore all discovered exoplanets, their measured physical properties, their location in the night sky, and their host stars. An interactive model shows you the entire observable universe, all the way from the surface of the Earth to the cosmic microwave background. This app has been developed by a professional astronomer.

Ret chokerende, så flot det er lavet. hvis man ikke er ret meget for astronomi, bliver man det hurtig med Exoplanet. Man må sige at Exoplanet, simpelhen overgår mange af de gratis lign apps På appstore, selv de apps der koster noget, har svært ved at følge med. Tilbage er, kun at ønske muligheden at zoome ind på de forskellige planeter som mars og flyve rundt på overfladen i 3d, ligesom i Google Sky.
Spændende astronomi-program
Indeholder en imponerende model af Mælkevejen, som man kan bevæge sig rundt i, hvilket giver en fornemmelse for de enorme størrelsesforhold.
Zoomes ind på vores solsystem kan man følge planeternes bevægelser og bl.a. se hvor Voyager- og Pioneer-rumfartøjerne befinder sig.
In-app-tilkøb giver mulighed for at zoome ud fra Mælkevejen og se galakserne i verdensrummet og endnu længere ude et kort over den kosmiske baggrundsstråling. Via et andet in-app-køb kan man desuden få vist måner og asteroider i Solsystemet.
Både når det gælder appens fokus, exoplaneter, og vores solsystem, indeholder den et væld af data, som er pænt præsenteret og på et ganske højt niveau.
